I am heading to WDW in a few weeks for the first time in several years, so I am trying to wrap my head around all the Genie+ and ILL rules too. Based on what I have read, you can make another Genie +...

Living in hot climates for many years, I can tell you that keeping indoor humidity at a comfortable level in the middle of summer can be a challenge. AC units can only do so much to remove excess...

So glad that you had a magical time on your trip! Looking forward to hearing about it!
-
Glad you had such a great experience! :)
Personally can't wait to ride the Skyliner at some point in the near future!
-
The Food and Wine Festival actually started July 15th and is running longer to accommodate the reduced park capacity; an Epcot park reservation and admission is required.
-
Thank you for your honesty about the trip so far. I think it's important that people get real feedback so they know what to expect if they are going to WDW in the near future. I hope that things get...

What a lovely story! Congratulations! Please let us know when the secret is finally revealed to the whole family!

Aw, sorry to hear about the trip cancellation, that's a shame. I can only imagine how many people have had to make similar decisions. Back when the pandemic hit, I was just starting WDW trip planning...

No need to go into Cocoa Beach--there are several good restaurants right at the Jetty near the cruise ships and fairly close to the hotels there. We like Fishlips Bar and Grill and Rusty's has been...

This has been in the works for awhile, so not surprising to me at all. I'm in favor. Probably the only thing I will miss is the music.

I am surprised they're not allowing them too. From what I've read, gaiters are actually considered pretty effective, as long as they're not super thin. Plus they're a lot more comfortable for some...

I personally know two people who have lost their mothers to COVID-19 and one friend who lost their mother and (42-year-old) brother to the virus. And I work in a hospital dealing daily with COVID-19...

Based on vaccinations for previous corona viruses, I think it is very likely. The thing about this type of virus is that mutations tend to be similar enough to the original that vaccines are...

Yeah, but that's from the Daily Mail. It's like getting your news from the National Enquirer here in the U.S.

Corona viruses are slow to mutate, compared with flu viruses. If they develop some effective vaccines for COVID-19, chances are good they will have a lasting effect for many years to come.

I had a few thoughts reading your post. First, personally I doubt that Disney will open initially to locals/AP holders only, even if still dealing with restrictions. That market brings them only a...

Body lotion is to me the least necessary amenity offered in a hotel room, but that's just me. Sorry for your disappointment. :(

A reminder to all in this thread to keep discussion civil—no insults allowed (directly or implied) per our rules. I know these are stressful times, but now more than ever we need to keep INTERCOT a...

I believe things will eventually rebound with the economy and therefore with Disney. But by August? I'm not sure of that. And if I'm honest, I just can't think about that now. Living in the moment...

My understanding is that All Star Sports has yet to be remodeled, so I would expect that they are indeed looking more than a bit tired. Are you planning to stay there in the near future?
-
I applaud your determination to get on the ride, especially considering how late you arrived the night (actually, morning) before! It all sounds very exhausting though; not sure that I would have had...

Sounds like fun! Just wish the MK wasn't always so crowded during the parties.

We've stayed at Cabana Bay twice and loved it both times. It is a fairly long (though shaded) walk to the parks, but the bus service is great if your feet are sore at the end of the day. Lots to do...

Valencia College--one of my alma maters! Very cool idea and very appropriate for the Orlando area.
