Thanks for your great input. His girlfriend loves fireworks, but the personal touch sounds good too. I will pass on all your ideas, thanks again!!:mickey:

Does anyone know if the MK has special buttons or pins for someone proposing there? My son is planning on proposing there, and he wants to make it as special as he can. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I know exactly how you feel, our kids went to private school too, and the tuition over the years blows your mind! Enjoy your trip, sounds like fun!!

I know for some people, Pleasure Island is the highlight of their trip. We are usually too exhausted from touring the parks to go out and party at night! But it's sad to lose the option for adults...

Columbia Harbour House in MK is good. Sit upstairs, it's much quieter. The little restaurant outside of Mexico, Cantina de San Angel at Epcot is good, the patio you eat at is off the main walkway. ...

I say Dole Whip, but my husband says fudge!! He always has to get some to bring home and dream about the parks while we eat it!:cloud9:

Our favorites are Rancho Del Zocado, always good; French Market, the seating there is so nice; and Bengal Barbeque, something a little different than the other counter restaurants.:eat:

Although it's an older hotel, we thought the Tropicana was a nice place to stay, and the service was great too. It's a very short walk to the parks, too!
Candy Cane Inn has the best continental...

It actually was an awesome place to stay! The beds were super comfy, and the staff went out of their way to make our band comfortable, even letting us rehearse in a conference room one day! The...

The ride there is very nice. It's a nice way to see all the resorts in that area. Enjoy Cape May, that's a lot of fun too!

FQ is smaller, but so is the food court, if you plan on having any meals there, and there is less to do there than at POR. I personally like Riverside better, lots to do, and the pool is themed...

Oh well, I guess no one has stayed there. I guess we'll find out when we get there!:(

We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn with my son's high school band in April. Has anyone stayed there before? What do you think?
-
The Candy Cane Inn is a nice place to stay. They also have a great breakfast in the morning, much better than most of the motels along Harbor.
-
Ibet you would enjoy staying at the Yacht and Beach Club, since you like Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can walk or take a boat to both from there.
Thanks for your trip report!

Thanks for the report , I am really enjoying it!:mickey:

The stunt show is definitely not a place to be if you're claustrophobic, especially when it is hot!! And I thought it was too loud too, but my husband and boys of course loved it....
-
It sounds like things got much better your second day, except for the food!
-
One more suggestion, the Candy Cane Inn is on Harbor, on the same side of the street as DL, and it has a great breakfast and shuttle to the parks if you don't want to walk. I think it's a pretty...

One perk of deluxe resorts, except for AK, is the close proximity to the parks. We enjoyed walking and taking the monorail when we were at the Contemporary, and we loved walking to Epcot when we...
-
The Best Western Park Place Inn is right across the street, you cross at the light, and you are there. The room we stayed in had a little sitting area next to the beds, nice amount of room. And you...

Thanks, I've never seen the rooms at Paradise Pier Hotel, they sound great!
-
Sounds like a great trip! I think the Fantasyland at DL is much better, even if ride wise it isn't too different!

Soarin' is so fun at EPCOT
Expedition Everest is fun, but the Safari is fun for all ages at Animal Kingdom
Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster are fun for teens and adults at MGM - the Great...

Sounds like a fun trip, good to know you can do alot even with all the crowds. I agree with you about Fulton's- we were slightly disappointed the last time we went too!
