Has the train ride at the MK been closed permanently? I know it was shut down for construction of the new Tron ride. Haven't heard anything about it re-opening. Would be too bad if it's gone for good.

My wife and I love Kona Cafe at the Poly. We always visit twice each time we're at WDW — the day we arrive and the day we leave.

I'm trying to line a September reservation and the website has been down the last two days I've tried. Anybody else having any problems?
-
Check to see how much the head of the line passes are going for. They're typically cheaper on days they don't expect a lot of people and vice versa.

I know a lot of people who take a white photo mat and have characters sign in. Then, when they get home, they put one of their vacation photos in it for a great souvenir.

You could always check out the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise from the Contemporary. There's a reception with drinks and snacks beforehand and you can take photos with Captain Hook. I don't think...

Glad to see that people don't always drink the Disney Kool Aid.

I haven't been to Wet and Wild, but Typhoon Lagoon is always a blast. I don't think any of the rides there are "scary". The slide that drops straight down at Blizzard Beach is scary because of the...

Congratulations! When you check in, ask for an anniversary button. We've always gotten a great reaction from CM's and fellow travelers when we've worn them in the past. Have also gotten some nice...

Thanks again for your replies.

Thanks very much for the info. I didn't know it's not a Disney-run restaurant. Going to Landry's right now.

I have been trying for three weeks to get a dinner reservation at T-Rex on Sunday, Sept. 20, and have had no luck. Is this because of free dining? I'm not a big fan of the restaurant, but we'll be...

We avoid Delta and American like the plaque. I have looked into some of their flights out west and their layovers are absolutely ridiculous. As are their prices.
We used to fly all the time with...

I agree. Rented two boats with my family one time and gave both captains a $20 tip.

We stayed in building 14 once in a 1BR. Had a great view of the canal that runs through the golf course and the HH was a two-minute walk right across the street.

Some sell out, but most don't. Halloween night will be a sellout for sure. We always try to go on a Tuesday night and stay away from Sunday and Friday night parties. The fireworks and the parade are...

We spent our honeymoon at Saratoga Springs in a 1BR in Congress Park with a great view of DTD. We loved it and would not hesitate to return except for the fact that we're DVC members at Old Key West...
-
The only way we head to DTD anymore is via one of the boats from OKW (our DVC home resort) or Port Orleans.
Driving anywhere near DTD right now is an incredible hassle and that new parking garage...

We've never been able to use a Fastpass earlier than the start time. We were three minutes ahead of time at Spaceship Earth and had to get out of the line and re-enter at the right time.
-
I heard those fireworks from our room at Pop Century. Was wondering the same thing and never did find out where they were coming from.

We went to the MK the day after the Super Bowl and there were so many people waiting to get in that we left. The line for will call was about an hour long. Granted, we didn't get there until about 11...

It would be nice if they could come up with a fix for all the inconsiderate people who insist on taking photos of every scene and ruining the ride for everyone else in the boat.
-
If you like a river view, ask for a room in Building 45 or 46. The 1BR views are better and the room comes with a jacuzzi and a washer and dryer.
We've also had really nice stays in Building 14,...

There's a nice quiet pool with a hot tub in the Miller's Road section of the resort near Buildings 19-22.
