Default "A Toast to Good Health and Life-long Love" Days 4 & 5

    Cast of Characters:
    Me
My 11 year old twin boys
my parents celebrating their 50th Anniversary

    Dates:
    April 20 - May 5 2007

    Resort: All Star Movies

    Day 4 Monday April 23

Today is Studios Day. Stitch woke us up. It has to be the most annoying wake up call ever with Stitch screaming into the phone...but we LOVE it!

We didn't get up early since we were out late at MK EMH last night. We grabbed some Mickey Waffles in food court before heading to DS. We wandered around a bit just browsing (the luxury of a long WDW vacation) . We found a wonderful spot to view the parade, a bench in the shade!! The parade at DS is wonderful. We really enjoy it. It is nice to see the different characters in this parade. The Toy Story gang, the Muppets crew, Star Wars , and of course the gang from Monster's Inc and Lilo & Stitch .

After parade my parents went to see Beauty and the Beast while I took the kids to the much-awaited meet with Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater . The boys wanted to meet them so bad, but it was a mob!!!!

We caught the tail end of the High School Musical Pep Rally and then met my parents at 50's Prime Time for dinner. I had the meatloaf and thought it was very good!

After dinner we saw Lights, Motor Action stunt show, took the Backlot Tour , and then went on Great Movie Ride, Muppets, and wandered the streets of New York , so many little surprises that you miss when in a hurry. We tried to take it all in and not rush.

Next it was off to Fantasmic. None of my pictures turned out. I was having a blurry night for some reason so I will show you a picture of my boys & I enjoying the show!

After Fantasmic we went to see the Little Mermaid and as we were coming out we noticed disco lights and music blaring out of Play House Disney. We headed over to see what was up since Playhouse Disney wasn't supposed to be open for EMH. What we found when we walked through the door was amazing...It was a dance party with Mickey, Minnie , Pluto and Goofy. There was not that many people there and we just danced with them. It was so cool. I have a few videos of my us dancing and playing with them. A real highlight of our trip and one GREAT reason why we stay at a Disney Resort. This only happens during EMH!! A wonderful day for sure!!

    Day 5 Tuesday April 24

Today we decided to go to Epcot and just do World Showcase. We did hit Nemo on the way in since it was new. we thought it was very cute and my kids kept saying "how do they get Nemo and friends swimming with the real fish?" I had no answer as I was wondering the same thing!

I love the Pirate themed topiary as you enter the park and also many throughout park. I think the flower festival is one of my favorite times to visit!

We hit Mexico first as I wanted to see the changes to the ride. I quite liked it. Thought Donald was a good addition. I love Donald and we were lucky to see 2 cabelleros just as we exited pavilion. We wandered the showcase browsing each country. Stopped in China for lunch at Lotus Blossom Café and met Mushu & Mulan. Found Snow White & Dopey near Germany and the Fife & Drum at USA. We then watched Voices of Liberty before taking in the American Adventure. We enjoyed some Kodo Drums in Japan before taking boat back to FW to let kids run free in Innoventions for awhile.

Supper was burgers at the Electric Umbrella and then we headed back over to FW stopping in Canada to watch Off Kilter and then the UK to watch the British Invasion. Took time to enjoy the many , wonderful , topiaries and flowers along the way.

We hit Soarin before leaving park before Illuminations was to start. I absolutely LOVED Soarin! It was amazing. It was another great day.
    ~Lynne~

On deck, you scabrous dogs! Man the braces! Let down and haul to run free. Now...bring me that horizon

Wow, that dance party sounds like fun. We popped in to the one at Cosmic Rays that featured Lilo and Stitch during the Mickey Christmas party - but it was only children dancing with them... would've been so much fun to dance with the characters! Off to read some more!
