Considering an audition...

I am seriously considering auditioning with DL to be a character. Actually what i wanted to do was see if i could audition for the High School Musical parade. I just missed face auditions for characters. Can anybody give me some information on this process? I am curious as to how it works, what they look for and such. Anything would be greatly appreciated!
