i just found this wonderful site and this thread which is just a fantastic idea.

this is my first post so i hope i do it right.

If anyone is going in the very near future, we are arriving at WDW 9/8 - 9/13, I would love someone to send DD a postcard. She is 11 and loves tink and main street shopping! This is our FIRST family vacation to see the mouse! DH is not as disney crazed as I am.

It would be my pleasure to send postcards to someone once we get there as well. PM your info to me and i will be sure to get them out.

It looks like I will be sending out 5 or 6 cards which is great news. Thanks to everyone that got in touch with me. It is great to have an opportunity to spread a little joy around the world. It's also a nice geography lesson for me because until this year I didn't know where most of these places were, well, I knew they were north west of Florida somewhere

I do have a question though, does anyone know what time the post is collected from MK midweek? Someone is flying in only a few days after I arrive so we're not sure if it will make it in time. Is the package pick up on Main Street the best place to post cards from?

I have been asked by 2 families to send postcards when we are there and I thought it would be a nice touch if it could be written in "Disney writing"...I have searched online to find the whole alphabet written that way and I cant find it...Anyone know where I could find this? (If nobody can figure out what I am talking about just look at the top of the page where it says Discussion Boards, that is the writing I am talking about)

I was able to download the Disney font a few years back. I don't remember exactly where I got it, but you should be able to google Disney font and get some good results.

I love the idea of Mickey Mail! My son is just a baby so he doesn't really care about post cards, but I'd love to send some cards to others while we are in the world. We'll be there Oct 19-25. Just send me a PM and I'll be happy to send you a post card.

You can find the font at Font Face - just search for that website. You should easily be able to find it on there, or something incredibly similar.

I wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to Rodders for coming through with a belated birthday card for DD. She was very excited (even though she is 19 she is as much a Disney addict as I am) She has it proudly displayed for all to see.
