I have been on the Strasburg Railroad. It was great, we had lunch on the train. There is so much to do in that area.

Hershey I loved too. Not only do they have a theme park but Chocolate World is fun it has a 3d show, trolley tour, garden tour and shopping.

If you do a search on the internet for PA Dutch Country, there is a great website that has lodging, attraction, and dining info.

The Amish country is a great place to visit I have visited most of the places mentioned in other posts. There is a lot to do. However, I disagree with it being less expensive than WDW area. I can't remeber the name but I stayed at the most expensive campground I've ever stayed at in my life over $200 for 3 days. It was a nice resort type campgrfound with pools bingo and other camp activities. I remember thinking since my wife had not been to WDW and I hadn't been in some time that if this was this expensive that I would never be able to afford WDW.Most of the places mentioned are shopping or fee to enter attractions and it's easy to spend major$ walking through copper kettle village or Boyds Bear Country. I love Amish country it's a different experience than WDW but less expensive I don't think so. But for an anniversary you can't make a mistake by going to an area with a town named Intercourse.
