    Default Poly question?

We are staying at the Poly in August as part of our Land/Sea package and my question is where is the best area to stay. I will be sending in a request when it becomes closer, but I would love to have some ideas as to where is the best area to stay. I would love to be close to the main house, laundry, pool, and possibly a view, etc. Thanks for any help!!

Based on your specifications, I think Tokelau might be the best building to request. With the land/sea, you'll have a garden view room and it's my understanding, that all the rooms here have a nice view. Another option is Rarotonga. It has the location that you want, however the 2nd floor rooms don't have balconies and some of the rooms do have a view of the parking lot.

I concur about Tokelau. WE stayed there in Nov and really liked it.

I think that most Poly veterans will likely agree on Tokelau given your specs. Its one of the newer buildings and has large rooms and balconies or patio on all floors. Some rooms on the northern end have a water view.

Tonga, Rarotonga, and Niue are closest to the Great Ceremonial House, which is where the monorail, shops, and food areas are. Rarotonga and Tokelau are closest to the laundry facilities; along with Niue, Samoa, and Hawaii, they also surround the pool.

My two cents here would be pretty much the same as the other posters -- either Tokelau or Rarotonga. Here's a map of the Poly resort so that you can see the layout of the buildings and facilities.

I don't like formal gardens. I like wild nature. It's just the wilderness instinct in me, I guess.

There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates' loot on Treasure Island and at the bottom of the Spanish Main.

Our preference for a garden view has always been Samoa. On one side is the volcano pool and on the other is the quiet pool.
You are very close to Capt. Cooks and the GCH.
The beach is very close just on the other side of Hawaii building.
No matter what building you get your going to love it there.

Thanks for all your help, seems like Tokelau is the most popular suggestion. Samoa seems like it is in a great location also. I know we get a garden view with the Land/Sea package, which is fine with us. We stayed at the Poly once before in the Tuvalu building. It was on the ground view with a view of the garden. We were near the end, so if we went out the side door, we had an excellent view of the MK.

Anyone tell me the differences between Samoa and Tokelau? Benefits, drawbacks? I am between the two.

Also when can you fax requests down? I know it is too soon right now, but how far out can you request?
