    Default Adult Character Greet

    Hi All.

When I went to Disneyland in California I felt really self-concious about standing in line to get pictures taken with the Characters, because the lines were all kids.

I want to put that aside for my next trip and get at least a few pictures with some characters - any suggestions on the best times to try this or locations where there wont be a big line of kids?

Can't really see the problem. Aren't we all kids (of different sizes) in the Land of the Mouse?

I'm in my 30's and have no kids but always get lots of pictures with the characters. It is so much fun. I haven't really ever noticed a time or place where there were less kids.

I have to agree, with PEA_Swe, aren't we all kids - no matter age?

If you really like to hang out with the characters, let them and the escorting CM's know that. And they will give you as much attention as the "other kids" in the line before and after you!

Oh, and remember to take lots of pictures...

It is not a problem. I work with the characters, and plenty of adults (both with and without kids) get in line to meet the characters. I do it myself.

I don't think you'll find a time when there aren't many kids in line for the characters. However, don't let that slow you down! Jump on in line! Make sure you get a photo-pass card and have fun!

Absolutely go and enjoy! DH and I are just as character crazy as DD is. We have tons of character pics with just us in them, and the characters play along with us just as much as DD.

Go and have fun...everyone is a kid at Disney World!

I agree you shouldn't feel you can't. Some of the easier places would be the in the Animation Studio (or whatever it is called) and in Toontown where people visit in batches and you don't have a bunch of people watching you - like you might on main street - again, not that it matters!

Everybody's got a laughing place - trouble is most folks won't take the time to go look for it.

Thats right! Welcome to the club! My sis and I (in our 30s) LOVE meeting characters and we get quite excited to meet them (talk, hugs, kisses)! The only times that, personaly, I feel a bit shy is when I meet face characters. I have no reason to be shy since all of them are so wonderful in engaging a conversation but thats just the way I feel. I was SO shy to meet Tarzan in 2006 (my sister would NOT come to take the pic with me) but he was very sweet and since we went to meet him during the firework show and their was no line, he engaged the conversation by saying "You smart, you come here when nobody's here" and from that point, the conversation went easy.
Please go to my profile to get the link for my Character Photo Album with pix of 200 different characters that we've met through the years!
Dont miss my Disney on Ice & Disney on Parade albums with Character Photos from the 60s uptil today!

Go for it! My sis (19) and I (25) were by ourselves and got tons of pics with the characters, going to character meals and in the parks. We were treated just like the "littler kids!" The only time we were embarrased is when I met Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tiger--I went a little crazy jumping up and down and hugging them but we got tons of great pics on photopass since before we went up I made sure to tell the photographer that these were my favs! My sis was a little embarrased but I figured noone knows me and I'm here to have a great time (besides I think I sat through just about every character meal with Mickey on property for her!). Forget everyone else (except for hogging the line of course!) and just have the time of your life!
