Rachel/Emmy Impromptu Trip Day 2

First full day!!! We slept in until 10. I let Emmy wake us up. We had a BBB appt for 12:20 at DTD (and it wasn't until the Party on Wed that I realized it would've been smarter to just do it that day so she was dressed up for the party, but oh well). She didn't know...I just told her I had a surprise for her.

We hopped on the bus to DTD and got there about 40 min early, so we hit the scrapbook shop and got a few things and sent them to the resort. A lot of the stickers and tape and what not are really reasonably priced! I was excited. I had never been in there before.

Then we headed to WoD--I let her pick out a dress. She thought that was her surprise. She kept saying "Thank you for my prize!' very cute. She picked Belle (which was good b/c I had bought her some $7 gold shoes from Walmart before we left in hopes that she would pick Belle...lol plus gold goes with a lot of her princess outfits she already has). So then she saw the BBB and she was watching the little girls...so I asked her "would you like to get your hair done?" And she just looked at me with the biggest smile and dragged me over. So we checked in and had a bit of a wait. But I took the time for her to run potty and change into Belle.

She decided on the Disney Diva hair do. She loved getting dolled up and her hair done and stuff, and it really just about puts her to sleep. She almost went to sleep a number of times...lol She looked adorable though and kept saying how she loved her long hair.

We were both still very tired by this time, but hungry, so we headed to Earl of Sandwich. YUMMY!!!

Then we went back to the room, took a VERY late nap and got up and headed for DHS for EMH that night. We did Little Mermaid and then we watched the 2nd showing of Fantasmic (we both love it--it is just such a neat show!). It is always great it just being us two, because we can usually get really awesome seats for shows. After that was over, we got our wristbands, went over to Muppets, then went to the dance party inside Playhouse Disney theater. And OMG...It was so awesome for her. Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, JoJo, Goliath, and some of the Little Einsteins were out. They had balloon artists making balloons for everyone. One even made Ariel for us! Towards the end of the night, there was only her and 1 other kid in there... Mickey Goofy and Pluto were all out. I have the most amazing pictures (kicking self for not taking video) of her dancing with them all, by herself like it was her own little party. The other kid was afraid of the characters. Then the CMs that were there, the characters, and the DJ all got in a circle around Emma and danced with her. She was having the best time. It was the kind of thing that would only happen at Disney, yah know? So special to her.

We went outside to leave and there were hulu hoop guys out there, and one got on the ground and bowed to Emma. She had no idea what he was doing and just kept staring at him...lol We explained to her it was because she was a princess. Then she just started laughing at him...lol

So we headed "home" 6 balloon creations in hand/stroller. It was a great day and we made so many memories. I think Miss Emma smiled the whole way back that night... She couldn't stop talking about who she danced with, and the silly guy outside, and hanging out with Mickey by herself.

I am sorry it is taking me so long to post these... I just started my new job yesterday and I am beat... Getting up at 5am is not a norm for us...lol I figure at some point I'll get used to it, but for now, I am pooped!!!

Wowie! What a great day you both had! I am so glad that Emmy had a terrific time and she enjoyed getting all pretty at BBB!! I can't wait to go in Oct, and see my friends' little girl have the same thing done!

That is just so awesome she got to dance with the Characters, etc! I bet she had a ball! Disney Magic!

What a perfectly magical day! I loved hearing all about Emma's experience with the BBB and EMH at hollywood studios. What wonderful memories you made. Thanks for sharing!

I can't wait for our DGD to be able to do the BBB. She'll be 2 in Sept. so I know we have a bit of a wait still. I bet your princess was just beautiful!! Do you have pictures to post?

I just cried reading this! I have my own "Emmy" who is 5, and went to BBB first time last Sept. She just loved everything and felt so grown up. It's so wonderful to give them these special moments (that hopefully they'll remember!)! I didn't get them as a kid and feel so blessed to be able to give them...

That is just soooo sweet! I am glad she had fun at the BBB.. my girls loved it last year. What fun to have all those characters to herself!! That is amazing!!
