But it's an excellent example of why we all want Disney to be a successful, profitable company. If Disney isn't profitable, stock price goes down, making it much less expensive for a hostile or unsolicited takeover.
So while we all lament character meals closing, price increases, and operational shutdowns, we need Disney to do this or it could be taken over by an InBev, Comcast, or other corporate entity who could possibly ruin the Disney magic.

I really don't think they ever had a shot. It was an ego thing for them.
Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you!

My ex works for Busch Entertainment and it's not part of the InBev deal. I asked yesterday.

Sorry, but all the theme parks will be owned by InBev once the sale is approved by stockholders of both companies and they will sell them as soon as they can. They have to come up with $51 billion somewhere.

I don't understand what you mean.
Busch owns Busch Entertainment
InBev buys Busch.
Who owns Busch Entertainment after InBev buys Busch?

It's being reported that the Blackstone Group, co-owers of Universal Florida, are showing interest in buying A-B Entertainment. A-B is not commenting.

It is also being reported on a couple of different websites that Inbev has confirmed that among the companies showing interest is Disney. On the one website in particular an Inbev spokesperson is quoted as saying that the sale of the parks will go to the company that can bring the $$ to the table and help eliminate the debt that they will be taking on.

I posted this elsewhere too.
I would love to see Disney take over as long as they treat SeaWorld and Busch Gardens as one of their own. They are beautiful parks and great to spend the day at where Disney is more of a true "vacation" spot. Busch has also done a lot for wildlife.
I'm really bugged about the InBev takeover. Budweiser has just always been recognized as an "American Beer". I sometimes feel like America is being sold a little piece at a time.
