A 52-year-old construction worker injured in a June 13 accident at Disney's All-Star Resort died Thursday night, a Walt Disney World official said this afternoon.
The man was identified this afternoon as John Swearingen, 52, of Davenport.
According to Reedy Creek Emergency Services, the man was working on a high-lift vehicle at the hotel resort and somehow got pinned against something at the construction site. He reportedly sustained chest, neck and head injuries. He was transported by emergency transport helicopter to Orlando Regional Medical Center, said Reedy Creek Deputy Chief Bo Jones.
After the accident, Disney notified the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Orange County Sheriff's Office, said spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez.
Both agencies now are conducting death investigations.
