Can I use my State of Hawaii handicap parking placard(For the handicap parking stalls) in the park or even the State of Calif.? Does anyone know if this is allowed or legal?
Handicapped Placards are not only state specific, and are acknowledged inter-state as long as the person that is registered to the placard is in the car or driving ANY car. They are valid in any of the US States and since they are issued to the person, not necessarily the vehicle, the person with the placard may not even own a car -- the placard allows the person to ride in a car of a friend and still utilize an accessible spot...
My dad researched this for a cross-country trip last year, and they continue to use theirs all over the USA in their RV or when they fly.
