"Your signature cannot be longer than 600 characters including BB code markup"
What does this mean? And why can't I change my signature?

what it means is this, with all the extra codes that go into your signature when you use a color or change the font you are exceeding teh max text allowed so to change it up you will have to delete some of the times you have stayed or put them all in one color so that you do not exceed the max amount of text allowed.

What it means is we take signature length seriously and feel super long signatures clutter up the boards and make them tough to read. That and what was just mentioned above
Line breaks also count as characters btw, so...
Doing This
And This
And This
This Too
Eats up those possible characters...

My use of bold makes my signature longer than it looks! hehe. Sometimes you have to be real creative with your signature! I like to show all my different Disney type trips too.
Maybe less color and space, and you'll be ok!

Thank you ALL for your help. Your answer is what I needed to know.
Oh, and John... I understand it gets lenghty and repetitive. But I like to know where others have stayed when I read there advice. You can always show your signature in your first post, then check off the box at the bottom where your sig. is not on the next ones in that thread. It helps some.
But I will work on space now that I have an answer on how to redo it.
Thanks again
To be clear, I'm not against SIG files - or we'd turn them off - and I wouldn't use one ! I am however all for making the best use of the space and keeping you fellow posters in mind when choosing colors, font sizes and sig file length. I think that 99.9% of folks do an excellent job managing their signature!

I've seen other boards sigs and they are so clutered and take up so much space. I like it how it is on I'cot!
