Question Who wins the ALCS tonight?

What a series this year's ALCS has turned into. The Ray's had a 3- 1 series lead and a 7 run lead in game 5, the Red Sox came back to win games 5 & 6. Will the Rays, winners of the AL East, shut down the Sox and go to their first World Series in the club's young history? Or will the Red Sox continue to win with their backs to the wall and move on to battle Philly?

I don't follow baseball much, but being from Tampa, I gotta root for the home team!

    Cool

I just don't see any way Tampa can win this game.

They had their chance in game 5 and they blew it ... badly. With a team this young and this inexperienced, there's just no way they can overcome a seasoned playoff team like Boston in a pressure-filled game 7.

Not that it matters, because either team is just lining up to be beaten by the Phils in the Series anyway.

I am hoping it is the Rays only because I'm entered in their World Series lottery and I was just offered the chance to buy ALCS game 7 tix so maybe I'll get a chance for World Series tix. I think Philly fans would be well represented at the Tampa stadium... there are so many Philly transplants in the FL area for one, and lots of people willing to travel second. Not so much Boston. It's almost impossible to get those tix and Red Sox nation manages to weasel their way in everywhere so I fully expect to see a decent showing in philly if we play them.

I'm pulling for the Rays all the way. They did win the season series, 8-7, against the Red Sox. This is a home game and Cleveland didn't have that luxury last year when they blew their 3-1 series lead against the Sox. I think whether the Rays win or not is dependent on which Matt Garza shows up on the hill tonight. His pitching has been a tale of Jekyl and Hyde. But the bats should most definitely come alive again for Tampa. As long as they set theirselves up with runners in scoring position, very rarely does the offense not follow through with a run or two. Let's go Rays!
