Donald Duck on Water Skis

I just had a conversation with someone who has not been to Walt Disney World since the early 90's. She reminded me of something I had forgotten about. Years ago, as a special surprise, when people would take the ferry to the Magic Kingdom, a small boat hidden behind one of the lake's islands would speed out alongside the ferry and it would be pulling Donald Duck on water skis. Donald would wave to the people on the ferry headed to the Magic Kingdom. Of course, the ferry riders loved it. Does anyone else remember this?

I always wondered what would happen if Donald would take a spill, especially in front of guests. I am guessing that possibility is why we don't see this anymore.

Yes, I remember this. I even think my dad has video of Donald waterskiing.

Also recall seeing Goofy on water skis....Think it was in the early 80's....

I recall seing Goofy, Pluto and Mr Smee on water skies. I use to love taking the ferry just to see the characters!!!!
