New 40% off discount

I tried to call because we too recieved a code with our address but with another name. I was refused, I was told that it does not have to do with the address but the code associated with the name. I have a problem with it since it feels almost like false advertising. Any one else have this problem?

A question...is this code (PIN) good when purchasing a package? Obviously, it would only apply to the room portion of the package, not passes, etc...

Yes, it works with a package. I already had a package booked in August and they were able to apply my pin to my package and got me the discount. We saved quite a bit.

Woohoo - just got mine via e-mail. We were really on the fence about a trip this year but now, if Denise can work some magic, I think we just might pull the trigger. We will have to switch from our normal "Jersey Week" until a little later in the month but for 40% off it is worth it.

Interesting, I just got off the phone w/ a CM and was told that my particular code is NOT good on a package. He said it's only good on room-only.

So, apparently that's different, too, from one person to another.

The good news...we're going to save about $1500. Woo-hoo!!!

My mom emailed Terrisue regarding her PIN code. She was able to save $1400 on her room! PLUS, she can book up to 3 rooms at that rate, so Terrisue's going to transfer my reservation over so I can have some savings, too!

Mom and Dad are a party of 2; we're 2 and a child, so the prices are different...waiting for confirmation from Terrisue to see how much we'll save!

And my friend was able to retrieve her lost PIN by calling Disney; she had some savings at WL (about $1100). She had to book with Disney, though, so I have a ?: Can she transfer the reservation to MJ once she books? She has some things she may want to change, and it might be easier to do that through MJ than WDW. Just wondering, thanks!

I most likely will not get one since after 37 visits I have not received one so far.

I have not read all the replies to this post, so I will just tell what I did. Got an offer card and PIN# from Disney Destinations for the 40% off. Since it is a Disney offer, though, all I had to do is mention it to my TA and she just quoted me the Resorts that had the discounted rooms still available, no PIN needed. If you have already booked a room, call and see if the discount applies. If not, for 40%, you may be able to change to some other room or resort.

I think the reason you were able to do this is that they have a pin # attached to your name and when she makes the reservation, they know you have the pin #. I think others have tried without it and couldn't get the discount. Some have had pin# attached to their names but never got a card or email and didn't know until they called to check on it. Congratulations!

Well, we're official, now! Just booked Dec. 19-25 at Grand Floridian and saved $1,512. It'll be busy, but we've always wanted to go at Christmas time, and Disney's little marketing ploy seems to have worked

If you sign up for all things DIsney online, you *might* get a pincode. I've signed up on the WDW website, I've sent away for free maps, planning videos, info on the cruise line and Adventures by Disney, and I've gotten exactly squat.

My mom and my friend both got 40% codes, though, which stinks, because both of their reservations were booked under my reservation...

My theory is that Disney knows they've already got me, so why bother to send me a deal? Mom's only booked the one trip, and so has Jenn, so they want them back.

As for the bounceback offer, that's something they offer during certain times of the year. The one I remember was offered during Free Dining last year. You can book for the following year (usually around the same time) and were given free dining for that next time. You had to book before you checked out, though. We never saw any information on this in our resort, if it weren't for Intercot we wouldn't have known about it. We never take advantage of it, but we always seem to "bounce back" the next year anyway, with other offers.

Offers seem to be random and sometimes pinpoint people that have not been back for several years, trying to get them back. We haven't been back since 2007 and received one but my daughter, who goes as often as she can, received an offer at our address under a name that she hasn't used in over 10 years. Call and see if you have a pin # attached to your name. Some people didn't get an offer in the mail or email but had a pin # attached to their name when they called about a reservation. We have received several discount offers this year that we haven't been able to use. We were able to apply this one to our trip in August.

We weren't even offered a bounceback offer while we were there in sept for free dining. The woman told me that we wouldve been notified via tv, if we would have watched it. Huh??? Who knew! We watched dvds the whole trip bc the concierge volunteered them everytime we came back to the room. bummer man.

That's just not right for them to do that. They should put a flyer or something in your room or in your info packet. We weren't even in the room to watch TV while there and if we did, it was late at night and usually just the news or weather. They shouldn't depend on people to watch TV while there. We weren't offered it either when we were there during that specific time in 2007 and I didn't find out about it until we got home and I saw it on this site. It was probably on our TV too. I was upset that we didn't know about it because we would have booked again. Why aren't they more forthcoming with it like they are the other discounts? That is a bummer!
