Hearing all this does sound like Disney is using all the Tree houses for that cash percentage! I guess the only way we will find out is if any dvc members actually get a ressie there! So until we get a post from a member I guess it's safe to assume the Tree House Villas are off limits to DVC members!
Like DizneyFreak2002, I was also able to call the first day and get ressies at the THV - mine for August.
I'm still bummed and somewhat confused about Ian's situation. Does DVC pick and choose their accomodations to hold on to? Or is it a percentage of the resort?
When you guys say "the first day" ... do you mean the first day it was open to SSR owners or the first day it was open to the general public?
First day it was open to SSR owners - that Sunday, February 8. It took me 2 and 1/2 hours to get through, but I was able to book five nights in August...

February 8th... Started calling at 9:00AM, got through finally at 10:45AM... I called the other day to inquire, just for the heck of it, about BLT for the week I am going to be there, and all MK views for October 18-24 are booked...
Son of Jor-El.. Kneel before Zod...
TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...
BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
Okay, see I don't feel as bad then. Because we couldn't call until the window for "everyone else" opened since we were using builder points.
I'm glad you feel better Ian. I wish I did. These are anecdotal reports and not statistics. However, the mere fact that someone else was able to reserve a THV on cash still irks me. And it goes without saying, Ian, that the response you got from Member Services was unacceptable.
What I would like to know is how many of these units haven't yet been declared and how many are made available for cash rental.
These will be some of the most desirable rooms at SSR, not to mention the most limited. We already know that the THV rooms that are being rented for cash are not breakage points. So I would hope DVC members are not being stiffed on this.
Many visits over 35+ years!
