Does anyone here know when this is slated to open? The website for Disney / Pixars new online Cars game has been listing an opening of "summer 2009." My son has been waiting for "summer" and keeps asking me if I know when it will REALLY open. (They've had the Test Track part available for some time, now.)
I'm still in mourning for VMK , but he is ready to move on . . .

There really hasn't been much news about the game but I have heard it will not open until the release of Cars 2.

As we near the autumnal equinox, I noticed that they have now removed the word "summer" from the promised opening -- it still says 2009, though.
My son stopped his daily checks awhile ago. He also stopped asking for the toy cars which have game codes. Its a shame they were giving the car codes this long without the game. Still, I do hope it opens before 2011.

I'm not sure they are waiting till Cars 2 is released. I think they are just fillin' up the gas tanks and fixin' up some thing-a-ma-jigs.

They are blogging their progress, feel free to follow along and be first to know when they start Beta, which is supposed to start this year. (We'll see)
