Our family loves it! We try to do it at least once each trip, if not twice.

I enjoy it very much but have a hard time staying awake on a 40 minute attraction where you are sitting in air conditioning! I think it's a fun attraction though.
Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

I am surprised how many positive results are on here. I mean i love it...and wouldn't miss it. but i can see why others may not like it.

I have to say I really like the story line and the moving seats and big dinosaurs are pretty neat. And the time out of the heat is very welcome at times. BUT I agree with a previous poster, I don't appreciate that the big bang theory is presented as proven fact.

I just did not like having to get into those conversations with my young children and having them question what they have been taught in church and home while on vacation.

Luckily on the same day we went to the Candlelight Processional and that helped bring things back to where my wife and I want them.
There is nothing in the "Big Bang Theory" that clashes with Creationism. In fact, the BBT, in a way, is a proof for Creationism. Check out The Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel. Awesome, eye-opening read.

    Moderator Warning -

I can see this starting to veer from the OPs original question, so please keep discussion to the attraction only.

    Thanks!

I liked the pre-Ellen version better, but all in all a very good ride.

sorry to be overly negative but i rate it the worst ride in disney, its so boring, too long, outdated, and i dont find ellen funny, i doubt i will go in it again unless the cut the time down by 30 minutes.

well if you use the rule that me and dw use, when in WDW do it all, this is a nice attraction, and is much better since they updaed it, you'll enjoy it, plus as posted previously it gets you out of the heat for a while

    Default Hate It!

I guess I am in the minority here but I HATE Ellen's Energy Adventure. DH likes it and so we went 2 weeks ago. When we came out I said "well that's 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back". It's the only attraction a really dislike at WDW.

This attraction is enjoyable if you have never seen it once. Repeat visits could be boring to some. We always go to get out of the heat. And we always try to be the last ones in so that we can sit in our own row in the back. Once the theater rows start moving, we take off our shoes which is a fantastic thing after walking for hours.

I guess I can't really give an opinion on this ride, because honestly, I have NEVER made it through without falling asleep. I think I use it more of a place to cool off and rest my feet. I do know I do not like the beginning. Very boring. I have been awake for the dinosaurs, and they are enjoyable. Other than that, I honestly can't tell you much about it.

I like it because it's a welcome break from standing in line or dealing with the heat.

I've seen it so much I'm a little worn of it but if you haven't done it before it's kinda neat.

The biggest and bestest plus is that it is a WONDERFUL break...without taking the time to catch the bus go back to the hotel and then come back.

I really like this attraction--I love both Ellen and Bill Nye, and think the movie is extremely well done, cute and funny and entertaining, and also factual and informative.

That being said, it's starting to get on in years. Some of the information conveyed is a behind the times. And I've always been vastly underwhelmed by the "Ellen" audioanimatronic figure, which I think looks nothing like Ellen.

However, given Epcot's track record with re-doing attractions, I would really worry about what might come to replace this if/when it is redone. I just don't think there's any besting Ellen and Nye as a combination, though an updated film would certainly be nice.

Is this ride okay for a 4 year old boy? If he were to start freaking out, can we get off once it starts?

    I love Ellen's Adventure.

    I just wish:

    1. The seats were padded,
    2. They leaned back more, and
    3. The seat backs were higher!

Maybe it should come with ear plugs so no one hears me snoring.
Officially too many trips to list here!

We enjoy the attraction. The storyline is well a little hokey "Stupid Ellen, that's what we called her in college." The information is educational and entertaining. Yes it does get one out of the heat for 45 minutes. "Stupid Judy!" I still would like to see Einstein pull through in the future. After all time is relative.
