Room Requests

Just booked our stay at Pop Century for my fiancee and I's honeymoon last night. (She picked the resort, I was more leaning toward POR or POFQ) I was wondering when do you make room requests (i.e. preferred building, bed, etc.), is it at online check in or in person check in, do you have to call, what?

You do it on your reservation. The whole "fax" thing doesn't really seem to work anymore and there's not a place to request room location on online check-in (or there wasn't when I used it in May). Since I always book through Magical Journeys I just have Wendy note it for me when she does the reservation. Of course there's no guarantee, but that works the best.

I too have done it on my reservation and then reminded them at the desk. I have had some luck, but not everytime.

I'll be doing the Online Check-In thing tomorrow, so I'll let you know if they added a request area.

There was no request area when we did online check-in last week. We did phone the resort directly and make our building request. As expected, they made no promises but said they would note the request on our reservation. Hopefully we'll get it. Just 24, 24 hours to go, until we're flying off to WDW.

I have always requested a building close to the bus stops because I'm old and creaky in the joints.

It has NEVER worked for me, even when I faxed my request and said "pretty please and thank you".

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my next trip, though. Maybe the room fairy will smile on me

Did Online Check-In this morning for Pop Century -- the only things available for request are Refrigerator or Pak 'n Play.

Wish they would allow an actual room preference at that time. We would really like top floor of building 3 - lake view.
