Its hard for me to say this being a Cub fan but I hope the Phillies beat the Dodgers. The Phillies are the lesser of two evils in my book.

And then again this time of year is always rough since even when the Cubs are in it, I'm still waiting for the next droped ball/black cat...etc

The baseball playoffs offer no comfort for me this year. Of the four teams I guess I will root for whoever plays the Yankees. If the Angels don't win I will cheer for whoever comes out alive in the National League.

Ditto. With the Red Sox gone, I really don't care. But as long as the Yankees do not win, I'll be happy.

Kind of an interesting choice by the Dodgers to throw the rookie Kershaw in game one.

The Dodgers desperately need to win all their home games to have a chance to advance, so I'm kinda surprised they're rolling the kid out there for the first game. I know he had a great season, but playoff baseball is a whole other level.

Of course, rolling Cole could backfire for the Phils, too. He's not the Cole Hamels of last year.

Big game for the Phils tonight...Chan Ho Park, Ibanez, and Howard really delivered!

It's gonna be tough for the Dodgers now...they need to take the game tomorrow afternoon with the Padilla Flotilla on the mound or they'll be in a lot of trouble.

That's not true. I hate the Nationals for making me watch their slop 18 times every year!

The key to tonight's game will be Pedro. If we get dominant, big game pitcher Pedro the Dodgers have some serious trouble on their hands.

But if he can only go four innings and gives up a couple runs, we go back to Philly with the series tied 1-1.

Don't forget about 'Chooch!' He got the ball rolling with his 3 run shot!!

Yes, it's great to see a couple of the big bats do something, but it's the 'little guys' that will be the difference in this series.

If the Phils can take one more in LA, hopefully tonight, I'll feel more confident in them going to the series, but I don't see a 3 game sweep in Philly for some reason.

    Go Phils!

DW and DD have informed me I can't cheer for the Dodgers. They despise "ManRam" and root for whomever he is playing against. so that narrows it down to the Phillies and anybody that plays the Yankees. (ARoid is in the group with ManRam).

Happy with last night's outcome. Hoping for big game Pedro (like that game in September where he was magnificient).

FYI- the game is NOT tonight. First pitch is at 4:07 PM.

I agree. That's how it was last year. So many unlikely heroes ... Victorino's slam ... Stair's pinch hit home run ... Myers 9 pitch at bat ... Everyone on this team contributes.

    Except Feliz.

The good news is you definitely got big game Pedro. Huge game Pedro.

The bad news is you got small game Chase Utley and J.A. Happ.

Oh well ... we did what we were supposed to do out in La-La Land and stole home field advantage. They'll just win it now in Game 5 instead of Game 4.

    Cliff Lee!!!!!!

And how about the bats coming alive last night??? Man, talk about a team that can put a bad loss behind them...this team must have the shortest memory ever. They just carry themselves with a swagger that most teams don't have...if they take this series and it's them and the Yankees it's going to be really, really interesting here the the northeast for a couple of weeks.

I can't wait to get there tonight...my wife and I are going to get down there pretty early just to walk around for a while before the game starts...hopefully they'll put a stranglehold on the series tonight! Go Phils!

Kind of annoyed the game starts 4 PM today! Hopefully I will still catch most of it when I get home.
