    This is going to get interesting as there are now two sets of questions on the go

    For guest experience. Express TTC to MK via Contemporary is the shortest leg to get guest to MK the quickest. Whilst GF is the "poshest" resort so has the shortest non-stop section to MK.

    Ummm...LOL...Okaaaay. Not the "story" I heard from several Monorail pilots a while back.

    We'll see if anyone else comes up with another explanation

    6) Why do the Monorails travel in opposite directions on the resort and express loops?

    In that case I'll have a go with...

    It's a speed of deployment issue from the monorail/steam shed, behind the MK, minimising the number of times a pilot must move between the "front" and "rear" cabs.

    The spur from the shed feeds towards the MK station on the outer track. This is used for the deployment of EPCOT and Express trains. The switch at TTC from the express (outer) loop to the Epcot loop only works for trains travelling counter-clockwise on the TTC/MK outer loop.

    For the deployment of trains on to the resort (inner) loop the pilot changes ends at the MK station and the switch is made as the monorail heads toward the Contemporary.

    Therefore, as soon as a monorail train is routed onto a loop (resort, express or Epcot) it is heading in the correct direction.

    Still not the story I've heard from Monorail pilots Let's wait and see if anyone else can come up with an answer

    If you can find early video of the Monorail on YouTube, you'll see that both loops travel in the same direction (clockwise). Of course, we all know nowadays, that the two loops run in opposite directions. I just wanna see if anyone else knows the answer I'm looking for

    Zawadi got it on the third try

    Legend has it that, when the park first opened and the Monorails were traveling the same direction (clockwise on both resort and express loop), they would get to "drag racing" each other, with the resort monorail completely blowing through the Contemporary and the Polynesian on more than a few occasions So, one loop was reversed, thereby removing any temptation about racing ever again I'm not sure *exactly* when they reversed the direction on the express loop...but....that's the story I got from more than a few long-time Monorail CM friends that I used to hang out with

    So...Zawadi (I don't even know your real name...LOL...) got #6 and #7 correct. Anyone taking a shot at the rest of 'em?

    I'll take a shot at this answer. The original hosts are Jose (voiced by the incredibly talented Wally Boag), Michael, Fritz and Pierre.

    This was my Nana's favorite so I have it memorized. Let's all sing like the birdies sing!

    Nope These two were your hosts for "Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New management". The original version - Walt's version - had four different hosts. Badkitty named 'em

    Almost The original show that opened with the park in 1971 was the Mickey Mouse Revue, which was "transferred" and still plays to this day at Tokyo Disneyland.

    6) Why do the Monorails travel in opposite directions on the resort and express loops?

    Yep Held every July in Florida. It's tougher than it looks/sounds, too...I did it for six diffenet years, all with different teams of people, and we never qualified...LOL...our best-ever time around the Rivers of America was 8 minutes and 32 seconds. The very first time I did it, it took us nearly 20 minutes to navigate...LOL It takes a time of under about 5 minutes, 30 seconds to qualify for a spot in the finals, limited to six teams. 75 teams total are entered every year, although something like over 100+ teams sign up. But due to time constraints (we have to be out of the park before it opens for guests, of course), the cutoff is 75 teams.

    So, we got #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 10 answered. We still need #8 and #9

    AND the first roller coaster with "safety zones" controlled by computers.

    So, we got #9...

    The answer to #8:

    Who are/were the "hosts" for the following parades?:
    a) Tapestry of Nations - The Sage of Time;
    b) Share a Dream Come True (Walt Disney's 100th anniversary) - Julie Andrews narrated the opening, and Peter Pan "monologued";
    and c) SpectroMagic - Jiminy Cricket
