Great timing for this thread...besides next week being Thanksgiving, my daughter turns 20 on Sunday and I had been feeling a little depressed about how my little girl isn't "little" any more.

We have been fortunate enough to have been able to go to WDW at least once a year since she was 18 months old and reading thru the comments on this thread made me realize that I will always have the memories of our trips.

There was the apprehension in her eyes the first time she saw the larger than life characters and the total glee after she completed her first trip down Space Mountain.

While we have managed to see many other parts of the country on vacation over the years, WDW is the one place that brings the most joy to my daughter and my wife.

And that is what I am most thankful for at WDW.
35+ trips to WDW since 1985...and it never gets old.

I am thankful for the look in my son's eyes as we enter each park. For the happiness I feel watching him walk down Main Street. For the many hugs that I get from him the entire time that we are there--Disney hugs just seem to be a little stronger!

I am thankful that everyone goes above and beyond to make everything perfect just for me and my family. Well, I'm thankful that it feels like they do it just for me and my family. That is what makes it so special.

I am thankful for the memories my mom has from when she was a child, and the memories I have from when I was a child and the memories my kids have to pass on the thier kids one day.

For making my dreams come true...for the look in my "kids' " eyes when they're in the Magic, and for letting us all just play and be kids.

    Default al the little things

For me it has to be all the little "disney" touches through out all of Disney World. From the theme parks to the resorts the magic and theme make it all so much fun. And of course the signature restaurants.

I'm thankful to go to a place that isn't like the world I live in at home.

Let me clarify, I have a wonderful wife, a wonderful life but here is reality.

It's nice to go to a place where reality is checked that the Walt Disneyworld arch over the road entrance.

    It's a safe fantasy.

Now, as far as rides, The CoP is by far the one and only ride that I show appreciation and thanks by riding it at least twice a day.

I'm thankful for all of the wonderful memories that I've created with my family through the years, and with my DH in more recent years. On that note, I'm happy that my DH has grown to love WDW as much as I do!

[QUOTE=passholderryan;1986744]1) Clean bathrooms!!!! Lets face, where else can you go that the bathrooms are usually spotless. Its little details that make it the place to be.

    I so agree!

    [QUOTE=Lisaj13;1986874] Flowers and trees. [QUOTE]

I very much agree. I inherited my father's love of taking close-up photos of flowers, and Disney has the best opportunities for that!

I am thankful that I always feel useful at Disney, because I'm... ahem.. educated enough to be able to help direct people to rides and shops, spew off trivia, and suggest hidden treasures. At home, my Disney knowledge just elicits an eyeroll from my mom; but in the parks, I get smiles and thank yous and even hugs! I love feeling useful

I am also incredibly thankful for the fact that Disney hired me and I will get to go down for the college program in January!

I'm thankful for 3 things, actually! The 1st...to Walt, himself, for being such an incredible visionary, to the wonderful cast members that go out of their way to make our "journey" so "magical", and that our family is lucky enough to be able to enjoy WDW again and again!

I'm thankful for all the cast members, especially those who work behind the scenes researching and devloping attractions, concepts, new areas, hotels, etc. Without their creativity WDW would not "grow."

I'm grateful for a place where innocence and goodness is respected and celebrated.

I'm thankful for Walt's persistence in his dream and the persistence of the Walt Disney Company and it's employees/cast members today - without that spirit, the "impossible" world of WDW would not be possible.

I'm thankful for the WDW philosophy that all the details matter. Not only does it enhance my vacation, but it has enhanced my daily life and my work life.

The fun and excitement money can't buy. And of course, the angelic and dazzled expressions on all of the little children's faces when they see Cinderella's castle. So priceless and wonderful.

I also thank WDW for bringing friends of my family's together through the Disney magic that we both love. We love spending time together at WDW with some good laughs.

So I raise my glass with pride and say:

"Thank-you Walt. You truly are one great man. Not were a great man, but are. Your spirit and dedication to the world we love and cherish cannot be erased. God bless you!"
"I want to be apart of your world."
