"Camping" in a van? Can it be done?

My boyfriend and I are thinking of camping at WDW next trip. Neither of us have ever done it before. However, we were wondering if it's possible to "camp" in a van instead of pitching a tent. My boyfriend has a van with a bed in it that we'd love to sleep in, and would just require the use of shower and toilet facilities. So how does this work and can it even be done? Sorry if this question is really basic but I'm totally new to the whole WDW camping thing.

It can be done - there are shower facilities at Ft Wilderness. Depending on the time of year you go it could get pretty hot but many people sleep in tents. Ft. Wlderness is the best campground!

If you want one with water and electricity just tell them that when you make a reservation. You obviously won't need a sewer hook-up.

all of the sites have water and electricity. you only have to ask, if you want a full hookup for sewage and all that.
