    Talking The Princess Battle

Okay we are planning our ADR's but can quite decide on our princess meal...

We have a three year old little girl who would love to see some princesses (who wouldn't)!!

Question #1 ~ Which princess meal is your favorite:

    Cinderella's Royal Table
    Princess Dinner at Akershus
    Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner

Question #1 ~ What characters could we expect (besides Cindy) at either of the Cinderella dinners?

Thanks in advance for your input!!!

Question #1: We have eaten at all of these. I can't really say which is our favorite. They are all good. Don't think you can make a bad choice here. Here are a few things to help though:

Cindy's Castle ( have only been have for lunch) -pros--- good food, lots of princesses, special wishing cemerony during the meal.
cons--- hard to get an ADR, expensive, a lot of wait before the meal.
Princess meal at Akershus (have only been here for breakfast)
pros--- easier to get an ADR, good service, several princesses (we even had Cindy on one trip)
cons--- no way of knowing which princesses will be there, sometimes there is a long wait before eating
    Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner
pros--- great food, great character interaction (the step sisters are constantly doing funny stuff), easy to get an ADR
cons--- only one princess (only a con if your goal is to see several princesses), can get a little loud (but not unbearable)

    Hope that helps some.

Question #2: When we went to Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner the characters were Cindy (of course), Prince Charming, her evil step mother and the two step sisters.

Added "tip" for the Castle or the Grand Floridian meals.... make an ADR for the first sitting of the meal and arrive extra early. We did this at both restaurants (without knowing what could happen) and my daughter was asked to be an "honorary" princess for the day. At the Castle she was allowed to be the first person sitted in the dinning area after a big announcement to the crowd. At the Grand Floridian, she was chosen also and was escorted to her table by Cinderella and Prince Charming. She loved it!!!

Does your 3 year old actual eat the dinner? If not, I would go to Akershus...the princess there are the BEST that I have seen.

In January 2010 we saw: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty (Aurora) and Little Mermaid (Ariel).

i have been to them both. both were excellent.
FOr me the best one was the one in Norway. At the castle it seemed a little rushed to me. at the Norway it was layed back, i think the food was a little better, and the breakfast buffet before your breakfast was awesome.

whatever you decide, i do suggest you try to get there as early as possible. Nothing better than walking to the castle or norway, when the park is closed to only the few who have reservations. It's empty, and you will get some great shots.

There is something magical for a little one about eating in the MK Castle! That has its own cache.

The Princess Dining at Akerschuss is amazing...more princesses for the dollar! So, if higher number of princesses is important, consider this option.

We prefer Akerhaus for the Princess Breakfast, it is the one place we All agree on, and with my family that is amazing. But you can not go wrong on any of them, they all create wonderful memories

We've done them all and I honestly think that they are all good.

My bottom line , everyone should experience being in the castle at least once. If your DD hasn't been inside yet, I'd go with one of those meals. My DD preferred breakfast or lunch since she was able to see a variety of princesses, not just Cinderalla.

We found the food at Akershus to be the best. CRT was good, but Akershus was better.

However, every little princess deserves the right to dine in the castle just once. Since you haven't done any of them, I'd take your princess to CRT at the castle. You'll be amazed at how she reacts!

    Default Thank you everyone!!!

Thank you so much for all your input! I think we will stick to Akershus this trip and save CRT for next year when she'll be just a smidge older. My sons like the idea of seeing all the princesses while they are eating...then they don't have to wait in line to see them in the parks! LOL!

I am thinking we could do Akershus AND Chef Mickey's on the dining plan, and it would use the same credits as one meal as CRT...plus I get to see Mickey!

Almost time for our 180 day mark and I AM SO READY!!!!!

    Thanks again!

We just returned and took our 1 year old to the Norway meal. We had Belle, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Aurora.
We were lucky enough to be seated at the table next to where Belle greeted each child when they entered and took photos with them. When it slowed down, she would walk to our talbe and play with my daughter who at 1, got a kick out of her gloves and sparkles on her dress. She must have stopped by 5 times.

Is the Mary Poppins breakfast and Cinderella dinner at the GF something that adults, no children, would most likely enjoy?
Never been there and thinking of trying them.

I think adults can enjoy any of the character meals. On our last trip we did Askerhaus twice (loved the food) and the youngest in our party had just turned 21!
