A Character named Horace the Horse Caller?

When I went for my 50th bday at Disney back in April, I got my picture taken at the Magic Kingdom with a character I had never seen before. The cast member told me this was a rare opportunity. The character was Horace the Horse Caller? Anybody know anything about him?

Growing up I listen to an album called Disco Mickey Mouse. There was a song on it called "THe Greatest Band" and when they introduced who was in the band Horace Horse caller was one of them, and I think there was a picture of him on the back cover of the album. That is really all I know about him.

Horace Horsecollar is one of Mickey Mouse's best friends and boyfriend of Clarabelle Cow. He first appeared as Mickey's plough horse in the cartoon "The Plow Boy" in 1929. He has appeared in 31 cartoons.

Horace and Clarabelle first started coming out in the Special Event Parades, along with Clara Cluck. All three were classic characters as Ready Creek Buccaneer pointed out.

Horace and Clarabelle started doing park meet and greets around late 2006 if I remember correctly, at MK on occasion. They eventually became pretty regular until late 2009 when they stopped their daily visits. However apparently they still come out on occasion.

Clara Cluck on the other hand only did a few meet and greets, usually at DHS.

I would still consider Horace a rare find even though he was pretty regular for over three years.

I'm pretty sure they are also part of the Halloween and Christmas parades.
