    Default Adam...

I love the show but since I am dieting I am finding it a bit harder to watch for a couple of reasons. He sort of represents everything wrong with this country and the obesity issue right now. Also it makes me starving-Mount Nacheesmo anyone?

I'm kind of with you on this. Lately, I've been getting sort of nauseous while watching this show. It's just getting TOO over the top for me. That nacho mountain didn't even look appealing to me at all...just made me want to never eat anything remotely resembling that...ever!

What actually makes me change the channel is those humongously disgusting hamburger creations. Ugh...

I agree with both of you ,sometimes you feel the food owners have made this dish in order to get noticed and not realising the consequences it will have on people .
However as a tv spectacle and for someone who would be to plain to embarrassed ever to order one of these mad meals ...Its just so fun to watch as back in the UK none of these meal challenges would ever happen . On the plus point some of the eateries shown on how they prepare some normal meals have been heaven to watch

I am now mainly watching to see the first 2 places Adam visits, much more interesting. We are planning a June road trip with our 16 year old grandson whose love is music. Hitting Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans with stops along the way. Have been keeping notes of both Man Vs Food and Diners, Drive-ins and DIves locations, mainly focusing on the barbeque and hamburger places. Not the most healthy food but as this will probably be the last time we can get him for any length and before he gets to the point that the old folks are too boring for words. Took him to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland this past summer and had a blast.
PS: Has Diners, Drive-ins and Dives hit your side of the pond yet?

Yes it has hit us in the UK ,but it hasnt had the same effect as MAN vs FOOD ,its probably because MvF has that sort of X factor of the mad food challenges and its just a great talking point for when your at work .
This programme is spreading big time though .
I think word started to spread when the episode was shown of the burger the size of a car tire and everyone who saw it just couldnt believe it
But its just great to watch him go all over the USA and watch different dishes being made and served . Infact the one with the Pasty i actually learnt something about why /the history and why they were made in such a manor for the miners ..and its a British dish !!! ..

It would be great if he does a European series
