Frustrated with park hours!

Disneyland just updated their park hours for the week of October 10th. I had planned on going Wed - Fri., but changed my dates to Thurs - Sat. because I wanted to see one night of Fireworks and Fri. isn't an option because I am not willing to pay to attend the Halloween Party. Now I see that Disneyland is closing at 6 on Thursday! What the heck! There is no Halloween Party scheduled. What is going on? I am totally bummed and feel like my trip is almost a total waste with the extremely limited time my kiddos will get to spend at Disneyland.

I may not go that month just out of desire to have fun and not get saddened.
