 Davy Jones Effect
Anyone that has been lately, is the Davy Jones waterfall special effect on POTC working currently? The last two times down it wasn't, or at least it wasn't being used. We have never seen it except on videos online, so it would be cool for it to be up in January!

Wondering the same thing. I saw it once on our 2006 trip (I think - have to check my videos). I can't remember if it was there in 2008, but I know it wasn't there in 2010. I wonder if it's another one of those things that broke and they never bothered to fic it.

Yeah, it's one of the things I've never seen NOT working. Fairly basic effect and not a lot could go wrong. But that doesn't seem to matter these days...

It wasn't working during our February trip, but a couple weeks ago when we were down it was working fine.

Thanks everyone! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I want to say we have rode POTC about 7 or 8 times in the last two years and it wasn't working any of the times we went. Or it at least wasn't running...

I think its a bit hit and miss sometimes. On our November trip it was working great on Wednesday, but the following Tuesday it was off...

For those who found it not working or not being on, just curious -- is the steam on but not the video, or is the whole thing just not there?
Also wondering if someone with more technical experience can explain how it would work, and why it might be off or broken?
It doesn't seem to me any more complex than your basic fog/steam machine and a projection video, but you know what happens when you assume...

Recently, when I've gone it's been working fine.
I have been when there was nothing there and also surprisingly when the projector was on but the steam wasn't (so basically it just projected a backwards image on the water).
