Default Superbowl Sunday - Crowds in the Parks

Saw the other thread about where to watch the game and got me wondering about the crowds. We will be in the parks that weekend and even if we watch the SB we will be in the parks for most of the day. Someone mentioned that the crowds are typically light on SB Sunday. Has anyone been in the parks on that day? How are the crowds?

    Thanks!

We were there on Super Bowl Sunday a couple of years ago - Epcot specifically. The morning was fairly normal for a Sunday in late Jan/early Feb. If anything, it was a bit more crowded than I had expected. Listening to people in the crowd that morning, it was clear that lots of "deals" had been struck for the day: "We'll go to the park early, but we're leaving by 2pm so we can find a place to watch the game".

Around 2 the crowds became very light indeed. By the time Illuminations came around, Epcot was pretty deserted.

It was actually a very nice day to be in the park.

Yeah that is kinda what I figured. The game doesn't kick off until 6 p.m. I think, so sounds like you can get in some good park time while folks are planting themselves in spots earlier in the afternoon for the pregame stuff, and still see most of the game.

I don't really care too much about the game myself, as I am a Panthers fan and well...yeah haha. But one of our friends we are going with is a big Steelers fan, if they make the SB it could be trouble!

From what I've read on other sites like this, they say that Super Bowl Sunday has some of the lowest crowds of the year.

We were there 3 years ago and it was a very light day. The whole day was pretty light, but the crowds really dissipated late in the day.
