USSSA World Series at WWoS

If you or your daughter played in the USSSA Fastpitch World Series at Disney's WWoS, please tell me all about it. Need any planning advice. Cheap off-resort hotels? My twin girls's 12U softball team just earned a berth to it. The team is in the process of deciding to go or not. We need 8 out of 11 to comitt and we can add 2 players to our roster. We have 6 yays and 2 nays so far. Thanks for any info!

I know that Disney offers a package deal to the teams through USSSA. You stay in the All Star Sports, they send a bus to pickup your team and parents for each game. It includes a 3 day hopper pass and admission to WWoS, if you stay off site it cost $17 a day to get in. I believe last year for the Elite 32(baseball) the cost was around $450 a person but that is 4 to a room. If you contact USSSA they should have all of the info you need. If you do stay off site, check ebay and look for Disney vacation homes. Last year we got a house 10 minutes away with 6 bedrooms for $1200. Good luck, hope this helped.

Thanks! It's lookin' like we're gonna be going. How exciting!! I am checking out all the host hotels...AllStar Sports offers a good deal for Disney, but there are several off-site hotels that offer a rent 7 rooms and get 5 free. We'll probably go with that. We can get a 4 day park hopper plus for a great price. I'm guessing a bunch of us will drive since we have all that gear to take with us...though 1 coach offered to haul all the gear down, but we never fly...too expensive for 5 of us (and I have a fear of flying). Now for some hard core fundraising.
