    Default Night out

So after a nice romantic dinner for two, where should the wife and I go for some entertainment? We were talking about catching the Brewers/Cubs game at the ESPN Club or going to Jellyrolls. Where should we go? Dose anyone have an opinion on these choices or any other suggestions?

Forgot to ask. Where do I look to find the hours for the different establishments. I looked on disneyworld.com and could not find operating hours for anything outside the theme parks.

THAT would be my / my husbands dream Disney date! We love watching sports at ESPN. I know we've caught some Cub games over the years, so I don't think there are any blackouts or anything like that.
Jellyrolls is so fun - we've been there on different nights of the week, and it's always as fun as a Saturday night out. I am fairly sure they're open until 1am.
I don't know exactly when ESPN closes - my guess is that they do seasonal hours. I do know that no matter when we've left EPCOT - even over the Christmas holiday it has been open for business.
Whatever you decide, have fun - and I hope the Brewers beat the Cubbies!

Where are you dining at? I know you would like to catch the game , but she might like to go to Atlantic Dance , if just for a little while. No cover charge either.

My question is how did you manage to get your wife to agree to watching a game at the ESPNZone? My wife would roll her eyes and ask me if I had lost my mind if I suggested that. You are a very lucky man!

BAMA, simple, I married a baseball fanatic. The second thing we did when we decided that we were going to WDW was to check the Brewers schedule and see what games we were going to miss. The idea to go to ESPN was hers at first. I just wish the Brewers would switch their spring training to Florida so we could see games at WWoS.

    Default Spring Training

Ohmygosh... if the White Sox ever moved Spring Training to WWOS or ANYWHERE in Orlando..... I think we'd do Spring Break at Disney every year!

Here's a vote for Jellyrolls. My wife and I always do one night at Jellyrolls - the dueling piano players are so amazing, and it is interactive fun.

Another thing we love to do is a Monorail Drink-a-Thon. We visit each of the monorail resorts for a beverage and appetizer. We usually time our excursion to be sure we are either at California Grill or Narcoosees for fireworks. It is also fun to watch the fireworks on the beach at the Polynesian. We usually start our excursion early enough to start at Fort Wilderness (Crockett's) and Wilderness Lodge (Territory Lounge). So fun!

Another thing to do is go to the River Roost bar at POR and see Yehaa Bob. He is an amazing piano player and really gets the crowd going. And there is no cover charge. He starts early (around 8pm) and usually goes until at least 11-11:30pm, with a few breaks thrown in there. Weekdays are less crowded. I think that he is there Wed-Sun, but I'm not positive. You could save this for a night with the kids as he is very family friendly early in the night!!

Oh- and we like going late night mini-golfing. The courses are open until 11pm at least and are usually quieter the later that it gets.

Have fun on your night alone!!!

I am not sure if they still do it, but Bongos Cuban Cafe has dancing after 9pm, that may be a good night spot also. We have visited the Atlantic Dance Hall and its not many people in there at all. Maybe we had an off night, but it was less than 20 people.

What is the atmosphere like in Atlantic dance hall? We are in our mid-20s and use to frequent rock n roll beach club at pleasure island.

Do they play modern or more classical dance music at Atlantic? Is there only dancing or are there dart boards and pool tables?

They mostly play top 40 type stuff, but they also mix it up and play some stuff from the 80's and 90's. There's a giant screen that they play music videos on to go along with the song you're dancing to. If you used to frequest Pleasure Island it's similar to how Motion was, the club at the end next to the Beach Club. There's no pool or darts available though, only a dance floor and an outside balcony to hang out on.

Thanks Jason! I do remember Motion now that you mention it! That place was a good time

Do they have drink service on the balcony at Atlantic dance?

    Default What do you like?

House of Blues might have a great band if you're lucky and your date night falls when they've booked talent. As was mentioned before, cruising the monorail resorts and soaking up the atmosphere and a cocktail is a blast. Boat rides between the resorts is also a nice touch.

I suggest La Nouba! A little expensive, but an absolutely fabulous show. One you'll never forget.
