Animation Resort

Could the new animation resort be finished by February 2012? Would so love to stay there for my 50th b-day.

Most reports are pointing to an opening for summer 2012, but I have seen it as early as May. Usually construction runs behind and not ahead, so I wouldn't count on February.

There is a slideshow that shows some of the concept art, including room interiors and property map (layout of buildings, pools, etc.). I can't list the site here due to TOS, but it's easy enough to find....

In our A/P Mickey Monitor which we received yesterday, it says that Disney's Art of Animation Resort will open in stages beginning in May of 2012. It also states that booking dates have not yet been announced.

I would guess, now that it's in hard print, that February would be somewhat of an overly optimistic target.

I got mine also and I can't wait to see the whole resort finished in May 2012! i hope to book in May 2012!

We are hoping to be able to stay at AOA in June of 2012. Guess we will have to stay in The Little Mermaid section, since I have heard that they are the only rooms that are standard rooms. The rest are family suites if what I am hearing is correct. Would love to stay in the Cars section, but we don't need a family suite.
