May 2011 Trip

Finally getting the chance to post a review of our most recent WDW trip here today. This time around we went for a week, as last years trip (in Feb) was cut short a day, having to return due to a blizzard back home here.

Once again we stayed at POP and got a room in our favorite 70s section, although when we first entered the lobby to check in, I was surprised by the number of people there also. It was a Saturday so I just chalked it up to being the weekend. Check in was a breeze and in no time we were off in the parks having fun. Most of the rides in Epcot already had sizable wait times and others where fastpasses were already out but we took it slow having to get up early in the day for the flight.

We added the park hopper to our tickets and would average at least 2 parks for each of the days, one for the morning-afternoon and anohter for night time. Also the weather was fantastic, almost making it the whole week without a drop of rain, except for an hour during the last day at Epcot. The skies opened up while we were watching Peter Noone on stage in the flower power concert series. The show ended up being cut short and everyone made their way across the walk into the American adventure or adjacent restaurant for some cover. The whole week brought with it some high temps but it was only that last day which had the added humidity.

A few years ago, we sat in the pouring rain while listening to Peter Noone. It was actually a fun time!
