    Default Best Resort Pool

We have always stayed at the Poly except one time we went to WL. We are thinking of a different place for next year and would like those resorts with great pools for the whole family, kids are 10 and 13.

I have never stayed here, but heard that the Yacht/Beach Club pool is the best. It is like a mini waterpark, from the looks of it.
They have a few pools, including a 'quiet' pool, a lazy river, a zero-entry sand bottom pool, and a shipwreck replica with a huge waterslide that kids can play in.

How far away from the parks is it? We don't want to spend a ton of time getting places if it is real far away. We are used to the TTC in walking distance and the monorail. Thanks

The Yacht/Beach Club is about a 5 minute walk or short boat ride to the International Gateway at Epcot. (Between England and France). There are boats that run to Hollywood Studios. You could also walk, but I think it's about a 20 minute walk. It's about 15 minutes to AK. Not sure about Magic Kingdom, but it's not an overly long ride. Bus service is usually pretty good there. An added attraction for some is the Boardwalk (which is right across the lake) is a short walk or boatride and they have street performers like magicians over there in the evening.

Coming from a former WDW Lifeguard...best pools IMO are Yacht & Beach, Wilderness Lodge, and Bay Lake Tower. Stormalong Bay is technically considered a "waterpark" by Disney, and it's huge. Has a lazy river, sand bottom pools, water slide, a beach type area. It's right next door to EPCOT, too. Awesome pool. I love Wilderness Lodge, too. I was statused there, so I'm partial to it. It's scenery is awesome, too. I also love BLT pool. It's not the biggest or have anything real fancy, it's just a really nice pool. I loved the zero entry with the palms all around it. Was my favorite pool to guard at.

The Yacht club has the best pool of all the resorts. We stayed there once and had to tear ourselves away from the pool.

Only down side to stormalong bay is trying to get some lounge chairs. They are spoken for by 9am.

Our fav. pools are all epcot resorts. YC & BC, BWV, and don't under estimate the dolphin pools.

Are the pools too packed at the beach and yacht club? We have never had a problem at the Poly if the main pool is too packed we go over to the quiet pool until it clears out some.

I've noticed the chairs go fast but the pool is seldom over crowded. It's just so big. And they have two quiet pools as well that when we used them seldom had half a dozen people. We just had an absolute ball with our grandchildren in the zero entrie sand bottom pool as it is just deep enough for kids three feet tall. And my wifes favorite part is the waite staff from Hurricane Hannas Grille comes right to your chair, in sun or shade, and takes your margarita order! We'll be enjoying it again in 72 days!

Several friends of mine who have kids have just loved the pool at Kidani Village at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Not as massive as Beach Club/Yacht Club, but a good alternative.

We've never stayed at the YBC either but I gotta say, on our Disney trip last summer, we walked all around YBC and I sooo wanted to see their pool. I'm not sure why, but the entire area looked a mess. Not many people were hanging around at the time we were there, just a few kids in the pool. Then I got to thinking since early that day there was a (not so) little accident at the WL pool that cleared out the pool for 3 (yep, 3) days!!!! What in the magical world would happen if (and I'm sure when) there's an "accident" in that lovely sandy bottom pool at the YBC? How does THAT get cleaned? Just wondering...

    Yacht/Beach Club = BEST POOL
Overall the most relaxing, fun and unique of them all. The sand at the bottom is icing on the cake, as is the whirlpool. If you're looking for a great pool as well as a great resort, you can't go wrong with the Yacht or Beach Club. Hope this helps.

We stayed at BCV and the "pool" is completely amazing. It was so massive that it could never feel crowded and the slide was great!

Depends on time of year. I would say this is true in the busy summer months for sure, and also during spring break.

yes, been there and done that. They closed it at about noon for an "accident" and reopened next day. This was in the summer too & it was packed. Not sure how they cleaned it but it took the rest of the day.

BC is our favorite Disney pool, we stayed at Dolphin last year (next door to BC) and enjoyed Disney transportation and their pools are great! My kids ages 13 and 16 loved them. But I would still have to say BC is favorite.
