Default Suggestions of exits to stop at in Savannah area

We will be driving to WDW and usually stop for the night somewhere near Savannah off of 95. Does anyone have a suggestion of an exit with decent hotels and restaurants?

We have stayed every year for the past 3 years at the La Quinta in Pooler Georgia. It is very nice, has free breakfast, and also allows pets (In case you need it)

I'll PM you the direct link to the one me and my family stay at

We always use to stop there too! Decent area with a fair array of food choices.

If we ever get to Savannah, we will eat (no matter the wait) at Paula Dean's restaurant. I believe it's still called Lady and Son's.

Do not stay at the Days Inn in Port Wentworth (just north of Savannah). The floor was softer than the bed. We stayed there for 5 hours in June. We got there at about 9PM, I packed the family in the car at 2AM because I could not lie on the bed.

Not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but I'm thinking we always stop at exit 94... We usually stay at the Wingate (sp?) there and eat at Cracker Barrel. Such creatures of habit we are

my dw & i waited 2 hours once to eat there .the food wasnt anything different than what my wife & i cook.its become a major tourist attraction hence the long waits.we usually eat at Loves.always good and we have to get a doogie bag to go.we also eat at stingrays or the crab shack on tybee island.we live 3 hours from savannah so we go quite often (when we're not at disney ) now i'm not knocking lady & sons but i think her show ,which i watch has hyped it up more than it deserves. its just good ole down home southern cooking which i get everday and have since the day i was born.if its something your not use to eating then i'm sure you'll enjoy it.(wthe
