Liberty Tree Tavern? Yes or No?
In all of our trips, we've never eaten there. We are fans of the "meat and potato" meals (no fancy foodie food for us!). I've made us our first ADR for this for our next trip, but am waffling a bit. Is it worth it? Food decent? We try NEVER to go to MK in the evenings, so it would be a bit of a different schedule for us, but if the food is good, we'll make an exception. What do you all think?

"It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."

Both my DW and I enjoy the Tavern and you wont go home hungry. The food is good but we do miss the characters.
Its a must for us when we attend MNSSHP.

Try the Yankee Pot Roast. It is so good and perfect for a meat and potato person!

We went twice the one trip but that was because we had extra credits and wanted to use them up before we lost them and this was open for a time frame we needed. I really really enjoy the food.

They call it the "New England Pot Roast" now and it is only available at lunch. It is very good. Unfortunately it is not available for the dinner service. This is a copy and paste of the dinner offerings:
Patriot’s Platter Roasted Turkey Breast, Carved Beef, and Smoked Ham with Mashed Potatoes, seasonal Vegetables, Herb Bread Stuffing, and Macaroni & Cheese

Hmmm, so all in all, a resounding "EHHH".
Well, we have enough time to try and switch it up a bit. We really don't care for evenings at MK, and finish off most every evening at Epcot, so maybe I'll go for another Epcot eatery.
I'm sure it wouldn't be bad food, but if it really is a Stouffers sponsored meal, and most of the food is Stouffers brands, we probably would not care much for it then. We may not be "foodies", but we are "home-made-ies"!
Thank you so much everyone, for your swift and honest replies!

All the Epcot restaurants are great for our family. I remember the LTT giving us belly aches the last trip and thats no fun in wdw. If you havent yet, maybe try Akershus. I think they are widely overlooked.

Then try something else really. Its the worst food along with Trails End.Very boxey food. Beyond boxey. We do not eat food meals like Ham Helper, mac and cheese and especially those col tasteless pasty potatoes. Just awful.. Go eat at Teppons. Somewhere in Epcot.. Just not LTT with or without characters,if the food is no good then there are plenty of other places with characters like Tusker that has the same Mickey Minnie Goofey Pluto..

Interesting range of reviews. My experience was the food was about a B-. Better choices at the Monorail resorts (like Grand Floridian Cafe @ GF and Kona Cafe @ Poly). Everyone's taste is different.

I find there to be a big difference in the food served at lunch and that served at dinner. The latter does remind me of being at a big banquet where everything is pulled off of huge steamtables.
But lunch is another story! As far as I'm concerned, LTT is another WDW sleeper. Would most definitely go back!

YES! Go there! We tried it last year for the first time since I was a little kid and it was great. SO MUCH FOOD! They serve it family style: a huge platter of sliced turkey, ham & roast beef, then a big bowl of vegetables, macaroni, mashed potatoes, etc. And I assume they keep refilling the bowls if you can eat it all. We weren't able to finish all of the food they brought us!
We're going again there next time. Wear stretchy pants! It's like Thanksgiving dinner!!!

Ditto. We have a lunch ADR for our upcoming trip. The lunch has been pretty good in the past.

Liberty Tree Tavern? Yes or No?
I like LLT for lunch (pot roast is good as are several other menu items) and do say give it a try if you are in the MK during the day. If you prefer to end your day at other parks such as Epcot you might find there are many other dining venues which are preferable. We generally run over to the monorail resorts when in the MK area. Some very nice places to consider.

I remember my first trip to WDW on my honeymoon. The only two TS we did was San Angel (which was terrible Mexican food), and Crystal Palace (whose food has gotten better since then).
On our next trip, we decided to try the LTT. WE LOVED IT. After eating hamburgers and chicken strips for days, it was so refreshing to sit down to a "home cooked meal". Since then, I've been using the Dining Plan, and LTT just doesn't seem to match up with some of the other places we eat. However, for that person who needs to dump the fried food for a day and wants a Thanksgiving Day meal, LTT is great!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at LTT a few years back and I wasn't blown away by the food. However, I can see the appeal to some people -- standard, old standby food like my mom used to make when I was a kid. Tasty and filling, but in a cafeteria kind of way, which isn't anything close to Thanksgiving dinner for me. My DDs enjoyed it (they were 16 and 13 at the time).
This year we're trying 50s Primetime for Thanksgiving dinner. My 20-year-old DD had that idea because of the fun family atmosphere. I know the food won't hold a candle to Thanksgiving dinners I have at home, but it doesn't matter because we'll be in WDW!
