So exciting to hear the weather reports as we get closer to our trip!

Good travels to everyone leaving for our happiest place!

Oh, one item... I was looking at historical data for 2010 and I can't click on the last half of 2010 for any of the months. It's like the months are not "hyperlinked" properly?

Anyways, have a great trip everyone. I can't wait until my dates become part of voodoo land.

Carol is redoing the database. I've sent her all the data and the rest of 2010 and 2011 should be back up very soon.

Thanks for the update and hopefully you are having a great time!!

On a side note....a TS hitting FL on Oct 5.....we leave that day!! Hopefully not much to worry about as far as flights go, but we'll go with hopes of a few rain drops here and there and don ponchos and GO!

    Hi Chris
We arrive from the UK on 13th October for two weeks. Any indication of what the weather will be doing yet?
We are hoping it will be nice and warm - but am trying to gauge what to pack

    Thanks

Hi, Debbie. It's a little early to tell for sure (give me 4-5 more days) but right now it looks like October will be mostly warm, though not too hot. Pretty much seasonal temps, which means highs in the 80s.

    Question

    Hi Chris,
We are leaving on our Disney cruise on Oct 6th we will be in Nassau on the 7th and Castaway Cay on the 8th. What should we expect for weather? will the hurricane out in the Atlantic affect us? I keep seeing rain on the forcast but it is still a week away...

Dana, right now I don't think you have any worries on tropical weather. Ophelia will curve back out to sea and Philippe should disintegrate over the next couple of days due to wind shear. I think by Monday, at the latest, he'll be gone. So, no worries for your cruise.

As for the rain, it'll just be the same pop up afternoon stuff that happens in Orlando during the summer. It doesn't look like any major rain events for those days. The only thing that could change that is if the remnants of Philippe reach the area, which is possible. We'll just have to keep a watch on it over the next couple of days.

I'm here now and will say it was pretty warm today!! The temp on the weather station at the hotel said the high today was 95! I'm not sure it hit that, but it was sunny and hot!

Chris thanks for the updates and my salty nerves are pretty much gone!

The high only hit 91 yesterday, but the heat index was 98 so I'm sure it felt plenty warm! However, you should notice a significant difference today. Have fun!
