Labor Day weekend?

Anyone at the World this past Labor Day weekend? What were the crowds like? Is it typically slow?

We went this year 9/28 - 10/3 because of the Jewish holiday my kids had four days off so we took one on each end. It was much more crowded than I expected. I know this sounds crazy but in 2013 the Jewish holiday is the Thu/Fri of Labor Day so we're thiking a loonnnggg trip of Sat the weekend before Labor Day through the following Sunday. That way we get nine days/eight nights and my kids only miss two days of school!

Thoughts on crowds?

Every major holiday, especially if it involves a weekend will be busy. The days preceeding it will get progressively busier as well. I would go afterwards.

While crowds do increase some over the holiday weekend, Labor Day is typically a very manageable holiday to spend in the World. After all, many school have just gotten back into session and folks don't typically want to take kids out too early in the year. On the other hand,if many schools are closing for the same holidays that will close your school system, many others may use the same strategy you present.
