Canceling trip ?

What happens if you have to cancel your trip 35 days before you were suppose to get there. No insurance.

You are refunded (from Disney) all but $200. Your airline would have its own cancellation policies.

Iwas just about to ask if anyones done that. My gf has mono and we were supposed to leave monday. Now i have to cancel and eat the $200 or see if i can change to next yr wo losing...I know i will have to pay a fee for Airtran on oneway w them, but Southwest oneway i can get credit i think.

If you explain the reason and rebook instead of outright canceling I think it's a $50 fee, but not the full $200.

And, yes, you can get a credit through SW.

guess I will have to try t rebook then...i was looking forward to this too as we both need a vacation from things..Ill call disney tonite or tomorrow

Do as quickly as possible...That way you don't lose even more.. Sorry to hear that my hubby well was boyfriend at that time now married to... many many years ago had that and had to stay our of high school for weeks it seemed like. Of course we were dating so that put a dent in seeing each other. It was supposed to be contagious... Be careful and hope she makes a speedy recovery.

im looking at rebooking in Feb. if they will do it. free dining is still goin on then. of course not as good as the Food & Wine fest.
and seeing wat i can do w airfare....

Like I said it it soon like tomorrow. they only let out so many rooms for free dining promotions and you may lose that as well. I am sure you might not lose anything if you are rebooking that soon and for medical reasons. Worry about airlines later. Unless you didnt have the trip paid for yet or just booked room only. No you can't do that and get free dining. Good luck but please don't wait, call tomorrow.

Ok its done...if i had cancelled it would have been $200 Lost. if i changed to a cheaper like room only $50 fee for changing. I kept the same pkg, 6 nites, free dining at POP in Feb..of course it still cost a little more cause of room rates going up next yr. and i will miss using snack credits at F&W and so on.but if i do have to cancel outright, i have til the end of Dec now

I am so glad you moved it this way you are guaranteed of a room at free dining times. POP is great and besides you don't want to spend your time in the room its all about the parks..We got pop rates at 89.00 in Jan and 70.00 for one night before free dining comes in. We changed our flights and got cheaper ones so we are coming in a day ahead of original plans. so now 1 day pop then 8 days pop another reservation so we can do free dining.We did the math and there is no way even skimping on food that by staying at value you save so much on food we are saving about 800.00 for the week by getting free dining and ...no fancy room can make up for that..
