WANT! Dooney Bourke Tink Bag

Have you guys seen this? Oh my, purple is my favorite color, and to be honest, Tink has grown on me through the years, so this bag is pretty desirable for me. Apparently it's being specially offered at Disneyland at the Tinkerbell Half Marathon Expo this weekend. Here's what the Disney rep said on the Disney Parks Blog in response to the question of whether it would be available at the Parks or online after this weekend:

I’m so glad you are excited for this collection. I love it too. My best recommendation for you all is to inquire with Merchandise Guest Services at 1-877-560-6477 , after the marathon this weekend about any remaining quantities. Should quantities remain the Merchandise Guest Services team will be happy to assist. But I wouldn’t wait, there seems to be a lot of excitement for these.

Not sure what to make of that answer. I can't believe that if there is high demand for this that they wouldn't make it more widely available. I guess only time will tell.

I agree that it would be odd to only offer this to 30,000? people when there could be a much greater demand. The January WDW Expo had some Run Disney merchandise that wasn't available at the parks or resorts, but this isn't just a tech shirt with Mickey on it!

I still think you have a good shot at getting one. It's not like every runner will want one or be willing to drop that amount of cash for a "souvenir."

Purple is my favorite color as well, and I have loved Tink since I was a very little girl.

I really hope this is available to everyone. I don't have a trip planned till 2013, but would order this.

Now I just need to convince DH that I really have to have this!!!

Oh gosh I want it too! When I bought the 40th anniversary Dooney last month I told myself I wouldn't buy another one, but this one is just so darn cute, plus I love Tink!!!

I tried to check out the Tinkerbell bag today. They didn't have them out yet. I guess they are waiting for the marathon. Went to several shops with no luck.

I love it! My 17 year old DD works at the Douney outlet store here in Freeport Maine so I told her to get as much info from her boss as she can about this bag.
She just put a bag on hold for me the other day and I keep thinking I really don't need another bag but she gets them at 62% off so I just can't seem to resist. I keep telling myself I am helping support my daughter because she gets comission.

My administrative assistant would LOVE this bag... she has so much Tink stuff in her office that she occasionally gets told to tone it down a bit. She reminds me of Tink because she is petite and runs around the floor!

I asked about this bag yesterday before we left and no one in disney world even knows about it yet hopefully if they come out there will be enough left for our December trip!!!! Lovely!!!

It doesn't surprise me that no one in WDW knows about this bag. I often have to remind myself that many CMs just aren't as big of Disney fans as we are.

As it is now, the bag was only 'supposed' to be available this weekend at Disneyland at the Tink 1/2 Marathon Expo. I'm just hoping it was a popular item and they decide to make it more readily available.

I checked at DL yesterday and NO bags at all. I was told by the CM working with the bags for the marathon that they all sold out within 4 hours. Sales were limited to 1 bag per person. Now to check on Ebay.
