    Default Top 5 Restaurants

We are doing the regular basic dining plan on our next trip (not quick service). We have NEVER done table service at Disney other than special occasion character meals. It will be just hubby and I. We will be doing 5 table meals. Having no experience with restaurants, what would you say were your top 5 ts restaurants?

Most of my favorites fall in the 2 table service category which I'm guessing you are wanting to skip??

From the list of those who take 1 table service, my list of favorites would include in no particular order:

Plaza Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom
    Rose & Crown
    San Angel Inn
    Mama Melrose's
    Boma
    ESPN Club
Grand Floridian Cafe (this is truly a hidden gym)
    Kona Cafe
O'Hanas (though I've found this spot can be hit or miss)

    Happy eating!

Here are mine, and I may list more than 5...

    Kona cafe for breakfast...
    Biergarten in Germany
    Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge
    Sanaa in Animal Kingdom Lodge
Yak N Yeti in Animal Kingdom
    Nine Dragons in China
    T-Rex in DTD
    Paradiso 37 in DTD

I also Liked Raglan Road... Other than that, honestly, the other table service places do not blow me away...
Son of Jor-El.. Kneel before Zod...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...

BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

For 1 credit meals on the dining plan:

-La Hacienda (EPCOT)--try to eat there during Illuminations
-Yak and Yeti (AK)--loved the duck
-Le Cellier for lunch; it's 2 credits at dinner (EPCOT)--great for meat eaters
-Kouzzina by Cat Cora (Boardwalk Resort) just outside the back gate of EPCOT
-Marrakesh (EPCOT)--we love the combo plates, my husband enjoys the lamb

There are a lot more, but these are the ones my husband and I really enjoy. We had a great meal at the Nine Dragons in China the last time we were there. It seems to get hit or miss reviews--but we loved it. Obviously favorite dining venues are highly subjective--based on numerous variables (how tired you are, how hungry you are, the types of food you like to eat, if you happen to eat at a busy time and end up with slow service, don't like to wait 15+ minutes for a table, etc.)

It is hard to narrow it down to 5....especially without any information on things you like.....like do you like trying new foods or do you want to eat at buffets or with characters? I am going to list my favorites (more than 5) in no particular order and based on those you can research the menus to see what appeals to you both.

    1. Ohana (make ressies early to get a good time)
    2. Boma (different food but really nice and yummy)
    3. Sanaa (again different food but really good)
    4. Chef Mickey's (I have to say the past couple times my husband and I have gone here the food has been really great!)
    5. Garden Grill (Always have had great food and character interaction)
    6. Biergarten
    7. Rose & Crown
    8. Sci-Fi (my husband loves this place and the food has always been good for what it is)
    9.Chefs de France
    10. Liberty Tree (lunch or dinner)

There are also great breakfast options like:

Kona Cafe (I have only had breakfast but hear lunch and dinner are great)
    Boma
    Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace (I recommend breakfast but don't care as much for lunch or dinner)

I hear great things about and plan to try:

    The Plaza
    Grand Floridian Cafe
    Kona for lunch or dinner
    Whispering Canyon
    Yak & Yeti
    50's Prime Time Cafe
    La Hacienda de San Angel
    Narcoossee's (2 credits per person)

**Double check that these accept the dining plan, although I am sure almost all if not all do.
