CoP is one of the attractions that always brings a smile to my face. Its like being transported back in time and the innocence I had as a kid when I first saw it.

They have already planned to get rid of one of the rides from my childhood Disney memories in Snow White Scary Adventures, they absolutely cannot get rid of COP. Now that I am older I appreciate it so much more and it truly is Disney in my mind. Animatronics is one of the things that facinates me so much about Disney.

In a side note I am writing this post on my last day of my current job. It is a bittersweet day as I am glad to be getting out but I have spent 8 years with the company. Oh well things happen for a reason and I have my new job to look forward to and a few weeks vacation until I start.

Only keep with a major refurb. It fits our schedule when we need to kill time for Buzz and Space Mountain Fast Passes to come to time to use.

CoP is a Disney classic, I'd hate for it go. I don't think MK would be the same without it.

We've never rode this ride until our last trip. It was as if we were able to go back to the Disney that Walt wanted to share with everyone. We love the parks, but this is truly walt Disney work. Now it will be a part of every visit!

It should stay! However it does need some TLC and it should either be totally restored to the original version or the last scene should be updated.

    Default What?!?!

    I LOVE Carousel of Progress!!!!

Nostalgia, connection to Walt, omg it is so precious. LOVE IT. I do think it would be okay to add another era, however, like the present!

But I LOVE all the different ages, especially the so called modern era,

Wow, I had no idea the COP was such a hit. I will have to say.... we have never experienced COP! We never spend much time in tomorrow land so I technically really don't even know where it is. Is it in the corner beside buzz? I guess we need to discover it on our next trip!

I first experienced it at the 1964 New York World's Fair, and I think I continue to see it from that perspective every time I go.

That being said, I think that if you take it as much as you can at face value, understanding that it was originally not only a showcase for Disney's audio animatronics but also a showcase for seeing how far General Electric had come in the century up to the 60s, you can see that it presents a wonderful picture of the life of 'convenience' throughout the 20th century.

Nowadays, I enjoy Orville, the dog(s), and finally the original 'host' of the show being GrandPa at the end. I see little bits of fun every time I go, plus it is air conditioned and relaxing for a while.

But it really shows me where Walt had gotten to just a few years before his death, while EPCOT (and the original Epcot design) shows where Walt was headed.

For those of you too young to have seen that much progress yet , my life is starting to look like the Carousel of Progress, so I never want it to leave.

"Keep Moving Forward" in not only the Meet the Robinsons, the Carousel of Progress, the myriad Disney theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, etc. Can't say it any better way.

Never. CoP is a timeless classic, it may a need a refurb and an updating on the fourth scene but I love this attraction. It's the first ride I head towards when I get to MK.

...I too am one who first experienced the Carousel of Progress in 1964/65 NY World's Fair. I was 4 years old...but the memory sticks with me to this very day. If it needs a re-furb...fine...clean it up....but don't change the story line...it's just too important to the legacy of CoP.

It's a classic. Make sure the ride is functioning well but don't change a thing. If someone doesn't like it, don't visit the attraction. Leave it alone!

Unfortunately the new generations have to have everything 3d, throw you around the place.. Gone are the patience for learning, thinking, dreaming, and appreciating the style of rides like COP, PeopleMover, SpaceShip Earth, etc.

Never get rid of Carousel of Progress.
That is iconic and timeless. I got to show my roommate the ride when we went on our high school senior trip and she still thought it was incredible, even with it being her first time there and having no previous knowledge as to what it was.

Count me among the many who love CoP and never want to see it go away. I saw it for the first time at the NY World's Fair in 1965, and still enjoy it.
