    Default Indiana Jones ride

Well, I suppose it was bound to happen... found out the Indiana Jones ride will be closed for refurbishment on our first trip to DLR. Just a bummer b/c it's our first and possibly only trip out to DLR. Wanted to know from someone who has ridden it - is it A LOT like Dinosaur (loud, fast, jerky) at AK? We aren't fans of Dinosaur - so if it's like that then I guess I won't be too bummed. Hoping we don't see too many more closed rides!

It is the same as Dinosaur.,to me. Just different scenery and sounds. Very bumpy, sharp turns. I think it is the same track layout.

You won't miss a thing....... except the lack of a whiplash collar after the ride.

Personally, the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction is one of my top 5 must hits. It is similar to DINOSAUR! in ride mechanics but that's where the similarities end. It is leaps and bounds better in my opinion. Though I think the Carnotaurus animatronics are awesome (particularly the walking one). You know, I think Indy may be my favorite in California... but I love too many attractions to make that call at this time.

It's the best ride at Disneyland and the experience and theming are SOOOOOO much better than Dinosaur.

I LOVE Indiana. Dinosaur is just kind of 'eh' to me. The track is the same (I've heard) but the ride for Indiana just seems so much better.

Same track, very different experience. I'm sorry you are going to miss it.

IJ is a bit more rough than Dinosaur. It goes faster and there's more vertical movement. It really is a bummer that you'll miss it. It's thematically one of the top Disney attractions, period. But, there's always next time, right?
