Default Refillable Mug Places at Fort Wilderness

DDP includes refillable mugs this trip.

Where can we fill these at FW?

    I'm thinking
    Meadows Trading Post?
    Meadows Pool?
    Trail's End?

    Thanks!

I know you can get refills at Trails End and Meadow Pool, not sure about the Trading Post.

It's the one location where the mugs are the least useful as it can be quite time consuming to get to the location(s) where you can refill.

    Default Fw Mug

    Hello Faline and others,

I agree. I certainly would never purchase a refillable mug at Fort Wilderness since it's at least a golf cart ride to get to where a mug can be filled.

I'm not a coffee drinker but as the murphy bed grandpa at our cabin, one of my jobs is to fire up the coffe and assemble the coffee accessories.

I have seem people standing line to get coffee at the Meadows Trading Post. A rather pitiful and bedraggled lot often still wearing their PJs and muttering something about can't face Dumbo until they have coffee. Can refillable mugs be filled there?

we were there in September, and could fill the mugs at trails end and at meadows. We also made coffee in the room in the morning...faster.

Unless it has recently changed, when I was visiting my folks in the spring, you could only refill hot drinks in the trading posts - coffee, tea, hot chocolate. If you wanted cold drinks, you had to go to the Meadow Pool refreshment stand ( with very limited hours) or head up to Pioneer Hall.

And about 40 more in between....

Here is my issue with the whole mug thing at Ft. Wilderness:
When I was there last month, we spent a lot of time at the pool. So having a mug was a plus since I KNOW we drank more refills and paid for the mug a few times over. The only issue I have is now instead of filling the mug, they just give you a cup of soda to poor in your mug. To me that is a waste of cups which would in turn raise cost to be passed on to the visitors. Just fill the mug and call it a day, instead of wasting more and more cups...

I think the reason for this is a health issue. Not exactly sanitary handling everyone's used mugs all day.
