    Question Possible Disneyland Honeymoon? :)

My fiance and I are trying to figure out where we want to go on our honeymoon, and neither have us have been to Disneyland before so...we're thinking about it!

He has been to WDW before about 15 years ago, and I have been going to WDW since I was three, and worked there on the Disney College Program. It would be nice to go somewhere completely different for a change.

We're definitely on a budget, as most soon-to-be newlyweds are, and we were wondering which hotel would be the best to stay at.

We're both kids at heart, and definitely want to have a lot of fun, but it will be our honeymoon, so we're also looking for romantic things to do as well.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks.

    First off... Congrats.

If you can swing it, I would go with the Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel. I have stayed at both. I was in a studio villa at the GCH and loved it there for the convenience of entering the hotel from DCA..very quick and easy. Loved the lobby area, very relaxing but can be cold.BRRR.

I also had a stay at the Disneyland Hotel and really loved it there. We had a theme park view in the Adventure Tower. We were able to watch the fireworks from the room with the sound piped in on the TV. To me the DLH seemed a bit more magical.

Since I am with DVC, it makes more sense to stay at the VGC than DLH.

Have you thought about renting points to stay in a GCH villa? That could cut the costs down.

    Good luck

I agree with Marci. If you can swing the DLH or GCH it will make your honeymoon so special! The time of year will make a difference in room prices. Do you already have a date picked out?

Whether you stay on property or off I would recommend a romantic breakfast at Granville's Steakhouse in the Disneyland Hotel. My favorite breakfast place on property.
