Dole Whip Spiced with Rum

Hello fellow Disney Diners,

DBF and I wanted to make it to this years Flower and Garden festival, but he's been so busy that we weren't able to do it this year. It's a shame, because we were really looking forward to trying the Dole Whip (our favorite treat!) with spiced rum.

There is a slight chance we may be able to make it down to Disney on Sunday and I was wondering if its still served in the parks anywhere. We'll probably make our usual stop in Adventureland, but if its served with spiced rum in EPCOT, I'd love to sneak away, make a purchase, and surprise him with it.

It's a special offering at one of the Flower and Garden booths and won't be there after that (May 19, I think). Honestly, it's such a light drizzle of the spiced rum that it's not worth a special trip. I was glad it was a light drizzle, though others complained of lack of rum for the price, because it almost overwhelms the Dole Whip. In a light amount, it's just a nice compliment to the pineapple flavor, but a heavier amount could be disastrous. If you make it, it's at a booth between Canada and the path back to Future World.

You could get your Dole Whip at Captain Cook's, where you could also purchase a (or bring your own) small bottle of spiced rum and add it yourself. It's literally just a Dole Whip (and at the booth, a very small Dole Whip for the price), just the pineapple soft serve, with a little spiced rum poured on.

I'm all for Dole Whips...
and rum!
But together?

I'd opt to go to the Tambu Lounge, have a Backscratcher or three and then go downstairs to Captain Cook's and get a Dole Whip for desert!

DW and I had one on the opening day of the festival back in March. I thought it was pretty good, but like the above poster said, it's just a Dole Whip with some Spiced Rum poured over it. It might be like 1/2 a shot I think.
