The Casitas section is my favorite as it is close to the main buildings. We once stayed in the Ranchos section (which is much closer to the main pool) and liked that as well. It's a bit further to walk to the main buildings but the grounds are lovely and we didn't mind taking the walk - it was actually faster than we expected it to be.

Ranchos IS nice because you really get to immerse yourself in the ambiance. Yes, it's a little bit of a hike but WHAT a hike!

    Cheers!

We have been there once in Casistas 3. I enjoyed the landscaping and the close bus stop was #2.

Have stayed in both Casitas (building #2) and Cabanas (building #8B) sections and liked Cabanas better. It was a short walk to the main buildings, big pool/hot tub and bus stop. There was also a sandy beach-type area with hammocks alongside the lagoon next to the building I was in.

Having stayed in all three sections numerous times each, I enjoy Ranchos the most. Location and the beaches with hammocks, as well as the look of the buildings, is what tips it for me.

Ideally near a bus stop...and the main pool or hot tub

Cabanas!! Although all sections are fairly convenient to a bus stop.

There's really not a bad place at this resort. That said, we like the Ranchos. The walk from El Centro is a bit far, but like others have said, it's beautiful. Rancho is next to some bus stops, close to the incredible pool, and has great theming. But you really can't go wrong with any room at this resort.

We have stayed at Casitas 5 and 4. We liked the relatively close location to El Centro, a laundry and the health club are in 4.

We enjoyed all of the fountains at night in and around the buildings.
