I know you used to be able to note any Birthdays you were celebrating on your online dining reservations, but I can't seem to find where to do it. Does anyone know how I can add these online? Thanks

There's no way to add celebrations online any longer. Disney is no longer really promoting celebrations since that's not in their theme for the year. You can still call and have it added, but I was in WDW for my son's birthday in July and my wife's birthday back in January and none of the restaurants did anything special, which is different from the way it used to be. Some places will still bring out a cupcake or sing to you, but a lot don't.

My last visit was in September so I am not sure if this is relevant anymore. But when we booked with Karen at Magical Journeys, she added a note to our package that said that we were celebrating two birthdays. I also called the WDW dining number with my confirmation #s and added my DS and DHs birthdays to our ADRs. However, when we actually arrived, there seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to when the restaurants did something "extra." For example, the boys' birthdays were not mentioned at GF Cafe and 3 other tables got birthday cupcakes. Sanaa did not have anything in their system (but added DS to the song list because they overheard us talking about it being his birthday and we got a window table.) Other restaurants wished DS and DH a happy birthday as soon as they heard our name and saw our reservation.
Long story short, it doesn't take long to add the celebration to the ADR but keep expectations low.
Our trip earlier this year was partly to celebrate my dad's birthday. One dinner was intended as his "official" birthday celebration--when checking in I mentioned that we were celebrating to the hostess and my dad was given a delicious complimentary dessert. This was at the Captain's Grille.
